Another easy win for England makes it four out of four to start their World Cup campaign. Ella Toone scored a hat-trick and Ellen White got on the scoresheet, taking her international tally to 45, level with Kerry Davis in 2nd place on the all-time list, and she missed a penalty that would've put her just one goal behind Kelly Smith. Northern Ireland conceded a heart-breaking last minute equaliser at home to Austria, missing the chance to go 2nd in the group. Luxembourg's win over North Macedonia was their first ever in the Women's World Cup. November's fixtures see England play Austria at the Stadium of Light and Latvia at the Keepmoat Stadium, while Northern Ireland face a double-header against North Macedonia.

Draw for the Women's Asian Cup/World Cup Qualifying 2nd Round: GROUP A India China Chinese Taipei Iran GROUP B Australia Thailand Philippines Indonesia GROUP C Japan South Korea Vietnam Myanmar The tournament begins on 20th January. With five World Cup qualifying places up for grabs at the tournament, there will be repechage playoffs for the losing quarter-finalists, though which format these take depends entirely on how Australia do at the tournament. FORMAT ONE: (if Australia reach the semi-finals) The simplest format and arguably the most likely, considering Australia are the highest-ranked team in the tournament. It would see the four losing quarter-finalists each play a repechage match, with the winners qualifying for the World Cup and the losers going into the intercontinental playoffs. FORMAT TWO: (if Australia lose in the quarter-finals) The messiest format would occur if Australia lose in the last eight. It would see the other three losing quarter-finalists play a round robin repechage group with the winners qualifying for the World Cup and the other two teams going into the intercontinental playoffs. FORMAT THREE: (if Australia fail to reach the quarter-finals) The least likely scenario given Australia's ranking. This format follows the same path as the first one, except the two winners would then face each other for a place at the World Cup and the two losers would face each other for the remaining intercontinental playoff spot.

Scotland needed a stoppage time equaliser from Abi Harrison to rescue a point against Ukraine at Hampden Park. It gives Spain the advantage in the group and Scotland realistically must get something out of their game against the leaders in Seville on Tuesday if they are to keep their hopes of winning the group alive.
