2nd October 1954 : Al Martino - The Story Of Tina (2 weeks at # 1)
Rate : 3 stars
UK chartrun : 10-10-10-14-15-17-19-20
The official chart was expanded in October. It's top 20 now, but this thing will not change the main rule. Only UK top 10 singles can get or confirm # 1 position.
Al Martino got the first # 1 in the history of UK chart in November 1952, but in my version only his 6th attempt became successful.
