Just heard this on Five Live where they played a large segment of it.
I was never a Take That fan but have to say on one hearing I love this and may even buy it! It might be a bit too MOTR for some but there is a strong melodic hook to it. I'll be interested to hear what my kids think of it.
I believe this could be a future #1. They're certainly getting the publicity!

I think it is guaranteed to reach number 1. Have to admit, i've not heard it yet. Is it a typical Take That ballad?

Sorry, I thought one of the threads needed locking, and as the other thread contained a dead link I picked that one. Cheers for re-posting it anyway.

They didn't say who it was before playing it and at one stage I was thinking OMG I surely can't like a U2 song?

I heard it this morning and it's good song from first impressions! Apparently the vid is being filmed this week but the only disappointment was it was mostly Gary Barlow singing it.

The song itself is OK, but not amazing on first listen. I am diasppointed though. After all the talk of them writing the new album together, this is a Gary Barlow solo I really expected the comeback to sound like they were all involved.

but the song itself seems to have a fair bit of Mark owens influence - but I agree the singing is very much Mr Barlow

I've heard the song quite a few times now, used the listen again feature for the Chris Moyles show yesterday. He's playing it right now too.
I really like it and think it'll grow on me even more. It's great to have them back.

It's not the true Take That without Robbie though.

It's not the true Take That without Robbie though. I disagree Chris, i think they sound wonderful. They carried on without him once so i'm pretty confident they'll do it again.

Their best song was Back For Good.Even critics etc who hated them admit that's a great song.
