A bit Keany/Coldplay - male mellow rock ballad with a lot of piano. Scraped the top 40... can't remember for me what was it called or the name of the band but the chorus had 'ache like this' in it.
I remember how good it was and want to hear more from them.
Anyone know - I'll be eternally grateful.

Only song I can find with those lyrics is 'On You Shore' by Charlotte Martin. I doubt that's the one though.

The piano makes me think Air Traffic but those lyrics aren't even close

Googled those lyrics and as Dan said, Charlotte Martin comes up.

which part of "a few months ago" wasn't clear? Well could be 3 months ago or 10 months ago.

I've had check back the top 40s back to January and nothing jumped out that fitted those criteria

Thanks James for checking.
It definitely did chart though - it might have been a week Scott Mills was persenting as he said something coherent about the act and it wasn't that long ago in the summer, round the time that Kate Nash and Jack penate were starting their charat runs. Do you know which weeks he did?

Polyhexed him - he's had two hits. The first one was too early and the other one was too late and peaked too high at 19.
This one had a hit in the 30s.

Yay - and they're streaming the song. I owe you an extra large drink in manchester - thanks James. I love this song - I remember it was so different to all of the other songs around. I expect it not to be everyone's cup of tea though.
