And the next 10
11. Ida Maria 12. One Night Only 13. Alphabeat 14. Laura Marling 15. Cajun Dance Party 16. The Courteeners 17. Gabriella Cilmi 18. Late of the Pier 19. Black Mountain 20. Lil' Wayne
I had hoped One Night Only would make the 10 but they just missed out

I don't think they have listed more than 10 before. Maybe more names came up in the process than in previous years.

Yeah, everyone here had actually released something beforehand. I also don't think they had the foresight to predict something which wasn't announced until February 20th...

Accuracy so far... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Adele - no.1 album, no.2 single. Pretty safe to say success. 2. Duffy - no.1 single and album. Even greater success. 3. The Ting Tings - Great DJ sold enough to be in the top 50 of the year at one point, but wasn't eligible for charts. Shouls be success 4. Glasvegas - One single. Missed top 200 5. Foals - Top3 album, top 30 single 6. Vampire Weekend - Single spent about 5 weeks in the top 75 on dowloads, phsyical ineligible. Album a consistent seller lower down. 7. Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong - One single. #43 8. Black Kids - Just missed the top 10 with their single 9. MGMT - Top 40 single after used on tv, top 20 album 10. Santogold - Nothing yet 11. Ida Maria - Single #185 12. One Night Only - Top 10 single and album 13. Alphabeat - Top 10 single which is sticking around for ages 14. Laura Marling - Album #45 and stayed in the top 200 for a while, single missed op 100 15. Cajun Dance Party - Nothing yet 16. The Courteeners - Top 3 album, couple of top 20 singles 17. Gabriella Cilmi - Single and album scraped top 40 but are climbing after use in an advert 18. Late of the Pier - Only released an extrmely limited single, never going to make the chart 19. Black Mountain - Top 75 album.. just 20. Lil' Wayne - Top 75 single
