Yeah, I was pleased with that result. Our defending needs to be improved, particularly with crosses and set pieces. Patchy performance, but we won.

Newcastle only drew 1-1 at Valarenga Just watched the match on 5... looked like Newcastle were gonna stuff them from the first half performance, particularly near the end, but the Norwegians came out really strongly in the 2nd half, and had a few good chances both before and after their goal - a good header by ex-Coventry player Normann. Newcastle did press a bit towards the end, but couldn't find a decent opening. Ameobi missed a sitter or two.

Newcastle were poor in the 2nd half, shearer was not happy being rested! Liverpool were luckyish as well, but at least they have a lead... How did celtic do?

Celtic stuffed FK Teplice 3-0. goals from Larsson and Sutton in the first twelve minutes, and another from Larsson right at the end.
