It will be Pompey, Leicester and Wolves. Pomey have the toughest fixtures.

Speaking of predicting, I did wonder if you would like to mredo the gts comp Frag? I know that me, you, GD, rmbod, sofie and shania would all play, that's 6 to start with and there might be a couple more like robbie, homes place and airboy? Keeps it easier for you to add up. Could do a month til the end of the season, then do the uro 2004 fixtures as an additional thing? Up to you, as I know you are busy after all...

there's that goldengoal thing though, isn't there... oh does he prefer to do that now? I had forgotten about it... I just wondered if we wanted a little compy set up at Haven, was thinking of the Goal Predicta game the other day actually, maybe it will make a return for Euro 2004. I haven't the time to do it myself really, so if someone would like to do it, it would be brill...

Would be great to have a game like that on here! If you feel like doing it of Frag does not want to, then please do, like I say, should be a few people who would like to play, keep it simple and with a few peeps and it will be good.

Depends how much time i'd take, and how busy I'll be over the next few weeks, what with work, the disco business and an exam is coming up in early June. I'll have to see. Hope Frag can do it!

When I decided that I didn't have enough time to run the prediction game, I did point people in the direction of the golden goal website. Not many people joined, though... would be good for next season as nobody has to add it up and we'd all start from zero, could get a large minileague. But a predicta game on haven would be great... if anyone else wants to do the adding up, that's fine by me. I could send you the rules if you want to keep by the old GTS rules?

Seems like we are all too busy, lol. I just didn't want to be playing another proper online game like golden goal as I already play ukfpl.com. Just be nice if Haven had a little game ongoing as well, whether that be GTS or Goal predicta? Have to see, at least it would not be as big as it was at dot, should be less than 10 of us playing? Keep the fixtures or predictions to a minimum, say 5-8 at a time to keep workload down...

I won't be able to do it for Euro 2004 but perhaps a mini-version sooner or later!

Will you not be around for euro 2004? I could choose a few fixtures for that for us all to guess on, if you wanted to do the prem ones now? Maybe start next week? Say, just 6 fixtures? 3 or 5 points for a spot on correct score, 1 or 2 points for a correct prediction, ie score was 4-2, and the guess was 1-0, or 3-1, etc. Tis up to you, dont want to make you too busy, but sure it would not take up too much time, we would have under 10 peeps playing probably? Do it in here and a link in the gubbins forum?

well, since there's a lot of interest in the nationwide leagues here, we could select only from the 3pm saturday kickoffs - no confusion i don't think it's worth starting anything now, though.

Would have thought that Sofie and Shania would be all for it as well. Maybe a straw poll in gubbins asking who would play?

i would be very happy to participate, but surely starting anything now for the rest of the season is a tad late

My Views
Currently: Everton 33 38 Tottenham 33 38 Man City 33 34 Blackburn 33 34 Portsmouth 32 34 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Leeds 34 32 Leicester 33 28 Wolverhampton 33 25 I predict the current bottom three to go down. Leicester and Wolves on the weekend of May 1st (by which time Blackburn will have beaten Leicester, Portsmouth will have beaten Fulham, and Man City will have drawn three games, incuding crucially one against Leicester) The table may look something like this at that stage:
Everton 36 44 Tottenham 36 38 Man City 36 37 Blackburn 36 37 Portsmouth 35 37 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Leeds 36 36 Leicester 36 29 R Wolverhampton 36 26 R
Very close... my predictions for the games on the weekend of May 8th... Leeds vs Charlton: Draw Leicester vs Porstmouth: Home win Middlesbro vs Man City: Home win Newcastle vs Wolves: Home win Spurs vs Blackburn: Home win
That would life spurs to safety on 42 points, but leave Blackburn, Leeds, Man City and Portsmouth all on 37 points with 37 played...
May 15th BLACKBURN vs Birmingham Chelsea vs LEEDS MAN CITY vs Everton PORTSMOUTH vs Middlesbrough
I predict a City win, Rovers and Pompey to draw, and Leeds to lose at Chelsea (who will still be going for 2nd place). Really tough call, but Leeds to go down by a whisker.
BUT. I have Blackburn down as winning at home to Leicester tomorrow. If they don't, then they'll go down...
Thoughts on all this? Comments? More information required?

i was GETTING to that wolves and leicester are screwed, yes... personally i think it's between leeds and portsmouth, but i keep feeling that the latter will make it. though that may be because: 1) i hate it when all 3 of the newly-promoted sides go back down 2) i'm not BEST fond of leeds but yeah, i think pompey have the better chance... but as you say, it's going to be close
