I will be running a "tote" game on Euro 2004, similar to the one I did around 2 years ago on dotmusic. I may combine it between here and Moopy so I get more players which is more fun.
The general rules will be similar but slightly different:
- Everyone will start with 31K. (I think there are 31 games, that's why 31K).
- If you bet you can only bet 1K. So if you bet on all games and lose all of them you'll end up with 0. But you don't have to bet on every game.
- The house will add 20% to the stakes plus a bit more to round up the amounts if necessary.
- You can bet only on the exact score, not including extra-time or penalties during the knockout stage.
- If anyone has guessed the correct score, the pot is divided between all the winners.
- If nobody has guessed the correct score, the pot is rolled-over.
- Anyone can join at any stage during the tournament.

Yeah, though the Moopy guys have just flamed it as usual. (as they do with any poster they don't like).

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a bunny with a pancake on its head.

Yeah, it is a good idea... needs to have a decent amount of people playing, though.

hopefully some of the Moopy posters will play too.
Does anyone here post in any other forums like a sport forum of some kind where you may bring in more players?
There may be a place on usenet I could run this too.

There may be a place on usenet I could run this too. Well, I could try the Brucespringsteen.net and cinerama.co.uk forums. And I'm still in contat with a few of the Beatles fans from Dot who are sports fans, so I could ask them as well.

There may be a place on usenet I could run this too. Andy posts at a sports forum so the best thing to do is to PM him when he gets back on Sunday. Unfortunately, I can't remember the link to the place. Could be a good way of pulling people into this forum as well!

www.stagsnet.com, but think they would prolly prefer to do their own? We could also ask in the life forum at Dave's site? I cant see why we cant get 10+ people playing it... When are the fixtures going up...?

They're going to run a version of my game on the Mansfield Town message board?
Soon I'll start posting the fixtures up but I don't know where to find the full list. One of the papers must already have done one.
