Tonight's games are Latvia v Czech Republic and Holland v Germany. Certainly the second game of the night should be entertaining. I'll be cheering on the Dutch, and I think they could bury the Germans if they play as a team!

I did, but I'm really not sure which way this game will go! Anyway, I can guarantee I'll be cheering on Holland with all my strength in support for my baby

The game was somewhat of a disappointment. I was expecting much more in terms of skill and flowing football from the Dutch. I cheered loudly when they equalised though! ;D ;D And as for the Latvians, they played quite negatively so probably got what they deserved in the end.

They nearly did it. Does this need to be a sticky thread?

A disappointing game really. Don't know about the first half as I only saw the second. Germany is a crap team but they always manage to do well in big tournaments just like Italy. Great goal from RVN. It wud be good to see the Germans out after just 3 matches ;D The best match so far is definitely France- England. Hope loads of good matches are still to come.

I thought the sending off of the Russian goalie was harsh, as any handling outside the area was clearly unintentional. Still it sets up a fascinating game between Spain & Portugal with the loser quite likely to be heading out of the tournament (assuming Greece pick up a point against Russia).

Missed the sending off But yeah, Spain v Portugal should be a very good game.

I thought it was wrong to give the Russian goalie a red card.
Today England will play another match. If they lose or only manages a draw I'll never cheer on them again. They have so many great players so if they f*** up tonight...

We shall see, on the first game performances, it should be a 3-0 win to us, but you just never know with england and the swiss may raise their game

Yeah, tonights a big match for England no doubt about it. I don't think they'll play well coz they'll be aware of how much pressure they are now under, put I do think they'll manage a tight 1-0 victory *crosses fingers and everything else* I've decided i'm going to avoid the pub for this game, and watch it at home! I may suffer alone

Also, will France deliberately lose if we do?

Also, will France deliberately lose if we do? Wouldn't have thought so? 8-)They have a winning streak to maintain...

Agreed, and it wouldn't be in France's interest to lose as it would make the group wide open again, and would clearly affect their own changes of qualification. France are good, but not good enough to dictate the group and pick and choose matches to win or lose!

Let somebody else than Beckham take the penalty if there is one in this match.
If he misses this time he'll never bounce back again and we need a great Beckham in the upcoming matches.
