Ronaldo reduced to tears! Oh well! He could have been spared all this suffering if they'd accepted defeat to England. We'd have won tonight!!! ;D Wonder if Figo will retire now?

Portugal did't win for TWO reasons:
1- Cuz they already played Greece in their opening game & LOST to them. They're simply unable to win against them.
2- Cuz they should have been out of the Euro in the quarters against England.
Greece didn't steal their victory from Portugal. However Portugal stole qualification from England. WELL DONE GREECE ;D

...and Greece scored MORe goals than them... Just wish someone had told me to put a tenner on Greece at the start of the tourno. Screw that, £1000! And all our worries would have gone.

I did think that Portugal were better than us in that game, yes the disallowed goal should have stood, but over the entire game, the portuguese hung us out to dry. And the French were far better than us in the 2nd half of the first game. The czechs looked better than us as well til they met the greeks. I think we had a good chance, but then we say that everytime.

England has never been a side that keeps the ball & dominates a game, we all know that. Portugal was playing home, backed by a whole nation & they were 1-0 down. Do you expect them let England play as they will . You can dominate & have loads of opportunities to score goals but you still fail to put one, this happened in the final. A good team is a team that is able to run a game to it's advantage whether by attacking or defending & score a goal when they need it. I don't think France was stronger than England, one man made the diffrence, Zidane. If he wasn't there they wud have lost against England & wud have drew or lost against Croatia (Trezeguet's goal was scored with his hand) & they wud have been out of Euro after just 3 games. I was really not impressed with the Czechs either, dunno why . I really do think England had a great team & cud have done much better if Becks played well & Ronney wasn't injured.

A good team is a team that is able to run a game to it's advantage whether by attacking or defending & score a goal when they need it. . This is so true, and summarises why Greece were such a good team in Euro 2004. They soaked up the pressure in each game, and scored at exactly the right time, and from this point knew how to defend their lead. This also helps to explain Germany's success over the years.

Something that we are unable to do time and time again, which is another reason why we were far from the best side in the tourno. Beckham playing to his potential and Rooney not injured and I may have believed we had a chance. The portuguese were far better in their game against us then they were in the final, in my opinion. I wanna see the czechs v dutch game again as I missed most of it.
