They've both won 2 frames so far, and Dott looks to be winning this one.

It's 15-7 at the end of the penultimate session, which means there's a potential 13 frames to be played tonight.

Somehow, I can't see there being 13 frames tonight...

15-12 now to Ebdon after a 74 minute frame, the longest in Crucible history. I've watched the whole championship so far so I will be sticking with this to the end.

Yep I watched it too. Very happy for Graeme, he deserved to win. I'm glad it didn't go on for too much longer though.

Well done to Mr Dott.
Is Ebdon trying to kill snooker off? The slow play got beyond ridiculous. I watch it occasionally but the number of times sessions overran was ridiculous. A number of programmes I wanted to see were postponed. Even my husband who is a fan got fed up.
The last frame in the afternoon session (they actually had to cut it short) was a farce. Dott 15 ahead with 13 points on the table. The two farted about for 30 minutes before Dott finally killed the pink.
Meanwhile, the whole family was waiting for Eggheads which was cancelled.
I know it's a World Championship but surely the time has come to put a limit on how long they can take between shots?

The first three sessions were hard going but I'm impressed by the way Ebdon fought back last night. Over the whole final though, Dott deserved to win and I'm glad it ended when it did.
World ranking news coming soon...

Ken Doherty the world #1? That will not stay like that for long! To be fair, Doherty had a pretty good season in a year where no-one dominated and the world #1 didn't even win a tournament. The 6 ranking tournaments had 6 different winners. The points at the top of the rankings are pretty close and I think there'll be a lot of movement next season. I wouldn't be surprised if Ken came out on top at the end of it, though.

The final PIOS event of the season took place last week and was won by Andrew Higginson. The win means he finishes in the top 8 in the rankings and is promoted to next season's Main Tour.
Here are the top 20 of the rankings: (top 8 are promoted to the Main Tour)
1. Liu Song 2. Andrew Higginson 3. Ian Preece 4. Chris Melling 5. Mark Joyce 6. Paul Davison 7. Tian Pengfei 8. Lee Page -------------------------------- 9. Colm Gilcreest 10. Jamie O'Neill 11. Stephen Rowlings 12. Jamie Jones 13. Craig Steadman 14. Munraj Pal 15. Michael Wild 16. Craig Taylor 17. James Leadbetter 18. Martin Gould 19. Brendan O'Donoghue 20. Richard King
Liu Song was on the Main Tour from 2003 to 2005. Andrew Higginson was on the tour between 2000 and 2004, reaching a high of 68 in the world rankings. Ian Preece spent a season on the Main Tour in 2003-4, as did Chris Melling, who is a former World 8-ball Pool champion, while Paul Davison was on the tour the season before last. Mark Joyce, Tian Pengfei and Lee Page will be making their debuts on the Main Tour, though Tian Pengfei was a wildcard entry in this season's China Open.
Some more newcomers to the tour have been revealed. Mark Boyle who finished as runner-up in the ISBF World Grand Prix (effectively the World Amateur Championship) has been awarded a place on the tour because the winner, Michael White, is too young to play on the tour. Veteran New Zealander Dene O'Kane will return to the Main Tour next season after winning the Oceania Championship. He was once as high as #18 in the world rankings and reached the quarter-finals of the World Championship in 1987. European Under-19 champion Ben Woollaston returns to the tour after a year's absence. A number of wild cards are being awarded. 2 from England and 1 each from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Asia, plus 1 from World Snooker itself. James Leadbetter has been given England's first wild card, Jamie Jones is the Welsh nomination and Robert Stephen represents Scotland.
A number of tournaments (not likely to be televised) are coming up which will decide some more participants for next season:
European Championship Romanian Open Asian Championship Asian Under-21 Championship ISBF World Under-21 Championship
As things stand, there are still 10 places available on next season's Main Tour.
