Graeme Dott won the China Open after beating Jamie Cope in the final. It is Dott's first title since winning the World Championship last year. Dott beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in the semi-finals.
The result means Dott moves up to #1 in the provisional world rankings.

A decision is due to be made regarding Stephen Lee and whether he should receive ranking points for the China Open after his withdrawal. If awarded points, he would move ahead of Stephen Maguire.

It'll mainly be on BBC2 with some coverage on BBC1 and maybe Eurosport as well but BBC will probably also do its red button coverage so you'll be able to see the whole championship live in some way.

1981 Jimmy White (Runner-up - 1984, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994) I've been wanting Jimmy to win since 1981 didn't realise it was quite that long. I was soooo into Snooker back then. Is this the first year he hasn't even made it to the finals ? I feel out of touch (but the Haven sweepstake gives me a good reason to watch again now )
