Well... after 12 games I never thought we would be this high up the league, playing so well, and winning in the manner which we have been doing.
At the start of the season I thought that we were going to have a tough transitional season. We had been shafterd by Billy "judas" Davies, he subsequently stuffed us up by taking all the backroom staff n the 3rd day of pre-season, leaving us with no coaching staff hardly, and then we only got a new physio 5 games into the new season.
However, we have had our best start to the season in absolute years. I think the last time we started this well was the 1995/96 season when we won the 3rd division. The way we are playing ath the minute I wouldn't count againsy us doing it again this season. We are playing that well, that fluently, that positively.. .it is brillinat.
Paul Simpson has got us ticking over like a well oiled machine, he has got us playing great attacking football and he has instilled a sense of confidence in our players.
Saturday's 4-1 demolision of Sunderland was amazing, but nothing compared to last night's remarkable come back from 2-0 down at half time away to Ipswich.
Could this be the year after so many dissapointments?
Fingers crossed!!

paul simpson is a legend, worked wonders at Carlisle, back to back promotions, it was a shock he decided to leave, glad to see Preston doing well, they have a solid team and we need Nugent in the top flight so he can get in the England squad

Simmo is doing very very well... he has surpassed my expectations so far! Very impressed.
Do you think Nooge is ready for England Daz? In my opinion, so far this season, he is the most over rated striker outside of the top flight. He has been very very hit and miss so far.

no, i think he needs a few seasons in the premiership first before h's ready
look at Rooneys form, both him and Nugent were rushed back from similar injuries, just hope his form picks up.

I agree with needing the seasons in the prem definitely!
See where you are coming from with the injury too. He has had 4 bookings this season for petulant acts, primarily discent. He now faces his second ban of the season having accumilated 5 bookings (on top of the two which counted as a red earlier in the season). He needs to get this out of his game, bad style, before he is going to make it anywhere!

Was a great game... at 2-1 up I seriously thought that we had it in the bag.... should never have lost it from there really! Saying that though - Burnley were the better side second half.
We have had results go our way though this weekend thankfully. Am just beginning to geta feeling that this could be our year!

nice result for Preston.
If Barnsley can win their game in hand, L**** will be back in the bottom 3.

Good result last night beating Leeds 4-1. Following Leeds atm as they've got our goalie on loan, bit surprised he conceded this mnay goals... They already have Warner and that old bloke, Sullivan, didn't know they'd got another goalie...Their defence is awful though, saying that, if they can keep winning games at home, they'll be ok.

The Leeds game was absoultely amazing. It banished a few demons from the play-offs!
Some of the stuff that North End were playing was absolutely sublime at times. quick one touch stuff, fluid movements going forward and players not affraid to take on a man and have a shot! Really was a great great performance!
Luton at the weekend should prove to be a more dificult test.

Stack had played down here a couple of seasons ago and was very impressed with him. To be fair he did make a coupl eof cracking saves during the game. It was their old static immobile defence which let them down. Saying that I'm not complaining. There is very little love lost between North End and Leeds these days! Was surprised how poor they were though on a serious note!

It's not cheap mate, although it's getting cheaper at the mo Leeds need to keep winning their home games and that will help, they play barnsley at the weekend, crucial game.

Good win at the weekend... we are playing free flowing stuff at the minute and to be fair it is great to watch... just debating whether to go to Roots Hall on Saturday???

its because you havent signed super greg halford from colchester yet, get him in and its guarenteed promotion. seems like preston are the only team playing consitent football at the moment, Cardiff are having a bit of as wobble
