So this Edinburgh City is not the old Edinburgh City having been formed in 1966 and previously called Postal United. New peak then. It is the same club. Postal United operated while the club of Edinburgh City wasn't fielding a football team. Postal asked to change their name and Edinburgh City agreed, leading to Postal being legally incorporated into the club.

So what do we do with this one, club went bust, new club formed, and now new club have been allowed to have old club's name... Airdrieonians 2nd in Div 1 in 1922-23 Airdrie United 5th in Div 2 in 2004-05 As for this one, what a mess. I don't know where to start. They shouldn't have been allowed to take the old club's name and history, given they effectively bought Clydebank's place in the league but the league and Scottish FA seem to have forgotten all about that.

How well new teams Cove Rangers and Kelty Hearts are doing, and it also looks like Bonnyrigg Rose will replace Cowdenbeath this weekend.

They're doing great but I'm not massively surprised, given how stagnant the Scottish League was for so long. With so much dead wood in there, it was always likely new clubs coming in would make an impact very quickly. Brechin were 3rd in the Highland League this season, while East Stirling and Berwick haven't been promotion contenders in the Lowland League.

So a new peak for Spartans and Kelty Hearts might, along with Airdrieonians and BRRose?

Annan Athletic will have a new peak as it's their first season in League One.
