well we live about half an hour out of bristol now, so you could call them the local team (the best team anywhere local, anyway ) but my dad's side of the family has a long history with the robins. my great-grand-uncle captained them to victory in the FA cup nearly a 100 years ago now, and i think my grandad played for them briefly as well... my dad followed both teams when he was growing up though, since their fixtures have always alternated so one played at home whenever the other was away. in fairness, despite the family connection, he did grow up in horfield which is on the blue side

My mate is a City fan and he hates the Gas, so you are following the best team, just a shame the Gas got promoted as well, although I can see them heading straight back down again

I really should choose Salzburg as my home town club, but they're kinda like Chelski - bought by Red Bull, hardly any Austrian players, winning the title easily - booring. Out of the UK it has always been ManU ever since they killed Bayern Munich in 1999.
