but haven't seen Brentford's ground yet despite living less than two miles from it. Here you go. As seen on final approach into Heathrow.

Teams I have seen: Current Premier: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Birmingham (getting thrashed 4-0 at Bradford!), Blackpool (losing 1-0 at Barnet!), Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Man Utd, Newcastle, Stoke, Sunderland, Tottenham, West Brom, West Ham, Wolves. Don't recall ever seeing Blackburn, Bolton, Man City (surprisingly) or Wigan. Current championship teams: Burnley, Coventry, Crystal Palace, Hull, Ipswich, L**ds, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Norwich, Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth, QPR, Reading, Watford Current league 1 teams: Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Bristol Rovers, Charlton, Colchester, Leyton Orient, Notts County, Peterborough, Sheff Wed, Southampton, Swindon, Tranmere, Walsall. (Also seen Redbridge alone before they merged with Dagenham). Current league 2 teams: Aldershot, Barnet, Bradford City, Chesterfield, Crewe, Gillingham, Hereford, Lincoln City, Oxford United Former league clubs: Luton, Wimbledon. Non-league clubs: Hendon + several of their opponents in particular the 1988 and 1989 seasons. I have probably seen a few others as I watched a fair number of Barnet games in the 1991-92 season but can't remember who all their opponents were. Foreign clubs I have seen: Bayern Munich, Feyernoord, Austria Vienna, Bruges, Sporting Braga, Bohemians of Prague, Eintracht Frankfurt, Dundalk all of those at White Hart Lane in European games in the 1980s. National teams: England, Scotland, Luxembourg, Poland, Israel, Estonia. Note that I have included that centenery tournament at Wembley in 1988. (Otherwise Newcastle, L**ds, Sheff Wed and Tranmere wouldn't be on my list). Trying to remember now all the other's I've seen since: Bury, Rochdale and Yeovil definitely. Surprised Leicester weren't on the list earlier but they definitely are now. Swansea City should have been on the list before, I saw them lose 2-1 at Tottenham in 1982. This time I saw them they won 5-0 at Wembley. I have now seen a full Sheff Wed game. Some of the clubs above have now dropped out of the league. Many others have changed division. Needs an update. Bolton, Derby and Wolves all seen this season, of which only Wolves emerged with a point. Huddersfield should also be on that list. I was there when their long unbeaten run came to an end, and also for the 0-0 bore last season. I recall seeing Charlton collapse at home to Carlisle in the rather dire 2010-11 season. Walsall I saw first when they shocked Arsenal in the league cup in 1983-84. I need to do a proper update of that list with a new list of what division teams are in.

Need to do a proper update at some point but these are the teams seen in 2015:
Nottingham Forest and Leeds in the league, both seen a few times now, might think twice about seeing them both again, at least for a while, the games are either disappointing from my perspective or just largely dull. Arsenal in the cup at Wembley - new team and not one I probably would have considered had it not been held there given our record against them and most of the games being televised (yes I know this one was too but i'd been itching to get back to Wembley for months). Was actually unusually positive for that one anyway though.

Two grounds added so far this season:-
Krefeld FC's, making Germany the 7th country that I've watched a professional football match in. (After England, Scotland, France, Finland, Hungary and Ghana). Older readers may recall Bayer Uerdingen competing in the UEFA Cup in the 1980s. When Bayer withdrew their sponsorship in the early 90s, to focus on Leverkusen, Uerdingen plunged down the leagues. Now re-named Krefeld FC Uerdingen 05, they play in the 5th tier in Germany in front of between 1,000 and 2,000 fans, in a stadium with a capacity of approaching 40,000. Quite surreal.
Gresty Road, Crewe, yesterday, for the Cup shock at home to Eastleigh. A nice ground, with one large modern stand, and three well kept small ones. Great game, with one goalkeeper sent off, followed by his replacement conceding the crucial penalty. And a mild fan protest against the Board at the end of the match.
Both matches cost me about £10, thanks to Crewe running a promotion and tickets in Germany generally being cheaper than Britain.
Gresty Road is my 67th British ground, although of the current 92 Football League clubs my score is only 49, thanks to other clubs dropping out of the league, or old stadia being demolished.

£10 for 5th tier football sounds quite expensive? Crewe is on my to do list, not easy to get to from here though, and my mojo has gone for going to grounds at the moment Saying that a mate wants to do West Ham's new ground when they move next season and that sounds like a good one to go and see. I wanted to get to 60, and call it quits for a while. FA Cup is a good time to do grounds, as they are cheaper to get in.

Checked off Vale Park, home of Port Vale yesterday, as my 68th UK ground. The home team were soundly demolished by Burton Albion (0-4). A vivid contrast between one team playing ugly long ball, hit-and-hope football, and another that plays it to feet, and relies on sharp interchange to find gaps.
I really hope Burton can make it up to the Championship, although they will really struggle stay there on their limited means.
Rotherham's New York Stadium is now the nearest league ground to my home that I've not seen a game at. I'd been to Millmoor. But I'm not sure I'll be able to stomach a Rotherham game whilst Neil Warnock is in charge. St Andrews, Birmingham and Boundary Park, Oldham are 2nd and 3rd on the list.

Think I am at 56 done, and I really am going to try and do Blackpool and maybe Crewe, I'd like to do Grimsby and Carlisle as well, but not if they move to another ground in 18 months! I also need Macclesfield and Wrexham promoted, to add two to my list without going anywhere And I suppose I don't want Chesterfield relegated as I'd lose one off my list, saying that, every team needs to spend time in the hellhole that is the Conference, just to appreciate the Football League that bit more.

Tannadice Park, Dundee (United) became my second Scottish ground last month. Stark's Park (Raith Rovers) was the first, many years ago. Plus, I've seen athletics at Hampden Park.
The closest Premier League ground that I've not seen football at is West Ham's Olympic Stadium, although I've watched athletics there too. Aside from that, I need to travel over 200 miles to Brighton or Swansea, if I'm to add a ground whilst watching Southampton in a league match.
The nearest league ground I've not been to is Rotherham's New York Stadium, with St Andrew's Birmingham, Boundary Park Oldham and Spotland Rochdale the only others within 75 miles of home.

It's two years later, but it's £15 for 5th tier football at Maidenhead now, compared to £10 for 6th tier last season. Free for kids, though! I haven't been along yet this season... when Joey is a bit older I'll be more motivated.

Really must update this at some point, don't think it's changed massively in the 5 years or whatever it is since I last did it, but don't want to leave it too much longer as I may forget matches!

I've never been to the Madejski, and never saw a game at Elm Park either. But, as I live in Derbyshire it isn't close to home.

Turf Moor, Burnley became my 70th British ground yesterday. A bitterly cold day to watch football, but it was nice to visit a community-based football stadium, with friendly and enthusiastic fans. Easy to park, and some pretty scenery on the drive there as well.
Of course, a 91st minute equaliser always helps your mood as you head home !

We made the mistake of watching Burnley v Port Vale in the FA Cup one year, Port Vale fans were trying to get out of their stand and at the Burnley fans, and when we came out of the ground to go back to where we were being picked up, there was a line of police horses blocking our way. There was a fab view of the hills behind the ground though from our seats.

Have you never done a ground in Wales Shireblogger? I am off to Blackpool on saturday to watcht them play Accrington, it will be ground #57, Carlisle to follow, with maybe Grimsby and Tranmere as well to make 60.
I was also looking into the 92 league teams that I've seen play a game, and think, I'm only missing 6 or 7, those being Spurs, West Ham, Villa, Charlton, Ipswich and Millwall, Swansea is a doubt, but I'm sure I saw them back in the 80s/90s when they were in the lower leagues. So I need to go watch Spurs play West Ham or the other way around and Villa play Ipswich, and that will leave Charlton and Millwall to get someone northern in the FA Cup and take in a game up here with them as the featured team!
