Gah I wish I hadn't looked at this, I haven't watched that match yet. This seems like the sort of result that would come out of this match though.
The Lewis/Van Der Voort match was another mini-classic IMO.

Phil Taylor 4-3 Alan tabern what a match tabern nearly knocked Taylor out I'm beginning to think that Taylors names on the trophy.Raymond van barneveld beat Jason clark 4-1 even with flu and Wayne mardle beat Roland scholten 4-3 to set up a meeting with Phil taylor in the quarter finals

The PDC World Darts Championship moving to Alexandra Palace must have lost the Circus Tavern in Purfleet a massive source of income - the competition has been held there every year since it first began in 1994 (?) but has moved in order to attract more revenue from larger crowds etc.
I'm not normally a darts fan, but this competition has become part of my annual festive viewing. It's a good way to pass an hour or so while scoffing the chocolates!

What a day!
Taylor out! Painter beats Lewis!
Semi-finals: Kirk Shepherd v Wayne Mardle John Part v Kevin Painter
This will be the first PDC world final not to feature Phil Taylor. I'd love to see Mardle v Part in the final, though I wouldn't begrudge Painter his place, either. His final against Taylor a few years ago was a classic.

Part has been given a wildcard entry into the 2008 Premier League! I should think so, too! It would look pretty stupid without the world champion...

I thought the World Champion earned the right to be in the Premier League regardless of ranking, but obviously not. Still, I'm glad that he's in.

Priestley (understandable), Lloyd and Scholten, though there's still one wild card to be decided...
James Wade's in, along with Part.
