No idea Sub.That's what I've been wondering.Unless they just draw it out more.It is well edited now, takes them far longer to decide than we actually ever see, just like Millionaire.

Maybe the first 15 mins we will get to pick Noels shirt? LOL Surely they will now save the very entertaining contestants to Saturday's show - I've heard a rumour that Marcus will be on next Saturday

The producers(/banker) have realised that they do not have to offer anywhere near the mean of the values on the board to get people to go. It's not cost effective for them. Norma's game today proved it, in fact she would have walked at anything over 20k I reckon

its a con im sure the show knows whats in the box Sorry if this has already been mentioned as I haven't read through the whole of this thread (or any others that may be on the same subject), but you're absolutely right. It IS a con! Or certainly for the last few day/weeks anyway (not sure if it's been like this from the start). For instance, once the first 2 or 3 boxes are opened, I can, with complete accuracy, predict what is in all the boxes. So if I can do it, then obviously the banker can. Don't take my word for it - it's common knowledge now. I seriously don't see how this show can continue with any semblence of respect.

There have been over recent shows (like I said, I don't know if it's just recently been like this or if it's been like this from the start) just 5 or 6 sequences of monetary values. Once you have seen 2 or 3 of the boxes, you can tell which sequence is being used and therefore predict the rest of the boxes' contents.

I read about this, fascinating stuff. What I don't understand is that are the 5 or 6 sequences always the same, there have been a few players that have tracked what money is in each of the boxes, surely they would have picked up these sequences?

Not sure what you mean. If you've seen players tracking the values of the boxes, I doubt they'd have the time or memory to deduce this: A | B | C | D | E | F | 250,000 | 250,000 | 250,000 | 250,000 | 250,000 | 250,000 | 500 | 75,000 | 5,000 | 1p | 10 | 100,000 | 1,000 | 20,000 | 10 | 50 | 50 | 1 | 75,000 | 1 | 250 | 10p | 5,000 | 250 | 50,000 | 5 | 3,000 | 50,000 | 50p | 50p | 10 | 1,000 | 10p | 10 | 100 | 75,000 | 3,000 | 500 | 1,000 | 100,000 | 500 | 20,000 | 100,000 | 5,000 | 1 | 20,000 | 1 | 1p | | 250 | 100,000 | 100,000 | 500 | 75,000 | 750 | 5 | 10p | 50p | 50p | 5 | 35,000 | 15,000 | 50p | 50 | 35,000 | 250 | 10 | 5,000 | 10,000 | 10,000 | 1,000 | 50,000 | 5 | 10p | 35,000 | 500 | 750 | 10,000 | 3,000 | 10,000 | 1p | 5 | 3,000 | 35,000 | 50 | 35,000 | 10 | 20,000 | 15,000 | 10p | 500 | 100 | 100 | 35,000 | 5 | 1p | 15,000 | |

No mistake. I correctly predicted the other boxes from that point on. Box 1 was £35k, box 4 was £3k and box 9 was £1 - therefore sequence D. However, I've since been told that there's been a "glitch" in their random number generator (yeah, right!) and that they've corrected it, which means that as from next Wednesday, this sequence theory will not work any more! Try it yourself anyway... it's been working for me so far...

I get it now. You're right, no one could possibly deduce this on their time on the show. Good job that they are changing it though.
I might try and follow the sequence today

It was a good show, Sam was an awesome player, she deserved 41k.
It was sequence A today, and to be honest following the sequence takes a bit of fun out of watching the show. I think Noel knew about the sequence when he was trying to convince Sam to go for box 4, which had the 1p in it

Took me a while to understand the table but I'm glad that they are changing it. It was strange having the extra 15 minutes and especially the extra break.
Decent result for Sam then.

I still don't understand what you think you're on about with that table.

I still don't understand what you think you're on about with that table. It's not that hard to understand, really. But if you've just watched tonight's show then I'll forgive you for not understranding it, as they've apparently stopped using them now. was it a hint of sequence F today? I got lost half way through... No, I've seen the first few minutes and it seems there is either a new sequence or that they've finally corrected the matter and it's now truely random. Still, it was fun while it lasted!
