See this opens on 6th June but there are no reviews anywhere for it though.Wonder if it'll be anywhere near as good as the 1976 original.

Saw some trailers for this, looks good.
I remember watching the old one when I was younger and I don't think it will be as good but we'll just have to wait and see. Was there not like 6 of the omens though.

First Posideon, now another remake Omen, saw a trailer last nite at the flicks, while I was watching the X- Men movie, it looks absolutely crap to me, the original is a classic, why on earth they tempted to do a remake is unbelievable, and I think this is a start of a trilogy as well. Staying well clear of it.

Think they went up to Omen 5 but not too sure. Yes they did, instead of a boy they used a girl, it was really a re-invention on the first one.

I watched The Omen when I was about 14... gave me nightmares for about a week Especially the bit about the nanny (first one) so early in the film too - if you weren't expecting it, it really shocks the hell out of you. I absolutely adored the third one - it had better characters and an ingenious plot.

My fav was always Omen 2, I just found the boy really scary at the age of 14(ish)!
I hope to see the re-make, though, like many people have said, I don't expect it to be quite as good.

The remake looks rubbish to me - it's a cash in on the date! 6/6/06 Ha! First time I've heard that one.
There's an article in the Guardian saying how they remade the wrong film, they shoulda remade Omen 3! Good article...

Those who saw it said it's very weak and underdone.

They say the decapitation scene is far better done and bloodier than in the original.

Did anyone see THE CURSE OF THE OMEN on C4 Tuesday night? The film was cursed or suffered strange coinsidences.

I saw the remake. Waste of my time and money. The original is the best.
