Always nice to see NM #1s pop up. And other NM hits that weren't UK hits.
My Life was Billy Joel's first NM #1 and the first NM #1 of 1979. The next few #1s in 1979 were (in order) by Blondie, Meat Loaf, Elvis Costello and Queen. All of them also had NM #1s in the 1990s and all but Elvis Costello did so in the 80s too.

76 AT SEVENTEEN - Janis Ian Fantastic choice!!! This never gets mentioned as much as it deserves to, it's one of my all time favourite songs. She's coming to play our local theatre on 30th September - can't wait! ;D
