So, I've finally done it!!!
I whittled it down to 76 albums. From them, I listed the albums in order of what I liked the most.
This list shows just diverse my tastes in music are; ranging from MOR, to Hi NRG, to hard rock!!!
I think my list caters for all tastes.
Anyways, here is my list. I'm sure one day I'll look back at this and think "wtf, why did I put that higher than that?
" but this is my list for the time being.
Don't be too shocked at the list...typically, it's more recent albums throughout. The oldest album in my list is the Grease OST!!! lol
01. Will Young - Friday's ChildSo, probably not to everyones taste but I think this is an excellent album from the very first second of 'Love The One You're With'. This is when Will Young officially got rid of his Pop Idol tag and become a genuine solo male artist.
Best track: 'Leave Right Now'
02. Green Day American IdiotI absolutely love this album. The title track everyone knows, and it was my no. 1 single of 2004.
Best track: 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams'
03. Madonna - Confessions On A Dancefloor"time goes by...so slowly" sings Madonna on the opening track - that song obviously being 'Hung Up' and from that point this is a party on a shiny disk. Well, up until 'Jump' (track 8) then the album starts to get crap. I mean what is 'Issac'?!!!
Best track: 'Hung Up/Get Together/Sorry' <--- genius!!!
04. Guns 'N' Roses - Greatest HitsEven at a young I really liked Guns N' Roses. I guess MTV Europe played a big part in this, as they seemed to play their videos every day. This is fantastic - some brilliant songs on this compilation. I was going to include 'Use Your Illusion' but as I actually bought this, I included this instead.
Best track: 'November Rain'
05. Original Soundtrack - GreaseAs I've already said, this is the oldest album to appear in my top 50. 'Grease' is one of those films that will live on for many many years. Personally, I think the current 'Grease Is The Word' show on ITV1 is crap (well, I think it's worse than that). That aside, this is an album with some brilliant pop songs included.
Best track: 'You're The One That I Want'
