There were 3 of them. And they weren't twins.
Pop FABULOUSNESS from 1983-1985 with such wonders as "Lies" (lies lies yeah, they're gonna get you!), "We Are Detective", "You Take Me Up" (cry boy, cry boy!), "Hold Me Now", " Doctor Doctor", "Watching", "Love On Your Side", "Lay Your Hands On Me", "Sister Of Mercy", "King For A Day", & the terrifying " Don't Mess With Dr Dream".

Yeah,. loved em, had their Hold me know on 12" I think, sold it a few years ago for a mint...

I like pop;) And we are talking 1984?? Or earlier? I was into a lot of poppy stuff as well as gothy stuff and metal around that age, varied tastes, still got em;)

They had a few hits in 1983, then were huge in 1984, a few more hits in 1985

They were the most successful band in the NM chart in 1984, even above Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
3 #1s, 12 weeks on top, plus "Hold Me Now" was still in the chart at the start of the year, and "Lay Your Hands On Me" was at the end.
Frankie beat them to "album of the year" though.
