Yes, what was that infatuation with the pig??We even had it on the SA versions of the Now series. I like these:(mark out of 10)
Tracklisting:
Disc one
1. Duran Duran : "The Reflex"/9 Simply the best song they have ever released imo, loved the video too. 2. Nik Kershaw : "I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me"/8 Follow up hit to Wouldnt it be good, not as good but still a brilliant pop song. 3. Sister Sledge : "Thinking of You"/8 Didn't think much about it back then, but like it now, sampled by Eclipse for the hit Makes me love you. 4. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark : "Locomotion"/8 One of their better singles released. 5. Ultravox : "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes"/7 My favourate song of theirs after Vienna. 7. Blancmange : "Don't Tell Me"/9 Brilliant production, probably the last of their great singles after Living on the ceiling, Waves, Blind vision and their cover of ABBA's The day before you came which featured Agnetha from ABBA in their video. 9. Frankie Goes to Hollywood : "Two Tribes"/9 Brilliant song, one of the best songs from the 80s and the follow up to the even greater Relax. 10. Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel : "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)"/6 I only released more than a decade after it's release it's all about cocaine. 11. The Special A.K.A : "Nelson Mandela"Don't really know this one as it was never played on SA radio for obvious reasons, it came out years before Mandela was released from prison, they even cut out his picture from all imported newspapers. 15. Bronski Beat : "Smalltown Boy"/8 Great song even with the somewhat irritating vocal style of Jimmy Sommerville.
Disc two
3. Alison Moyet : "Love Resurrection"/9 Apparently this one had deeper sexual meaning, which i had no clue about.Brillant song and well produced by Jolley/Swain of Imagination fame. 5. Bananarama : "Robert DeNiro's Waiting"/8 The very good followup to the more awesome Cruel Summer. At this point i realised that i might be classified as a fan, even better songs came later. 6. Propaganda : "Dr. Mabuse"/10 One of my altime favourate songs.I still love it up to today. At this point i also realised i like Trevor Horn's production skills(he also did Frankie goes to Hollywood the same year)I remember them being interviewed once and being asked what they would describe their music as, replying "ABBA from hell". 7. Tina Turner : "What's Love Got to Do with It"/8 Brilliant song from the great Private Dancer album.I only found out recently that Bucks Fizz recorded this song before them. 10. The Thompson Twins : "You Take Me Up"/8 Not as good as their other singles from the same album but still better than a lot of the other stuff that charted around the same time. 11. The Weather Girls : "It's Raining Men"/6 A bit overplayed at every single wedding and year end party i've ever been to.

I remember this kicking round the family home in the 80s... haha. 1. Duran Duran : "The Reflex" (I agree - their best "hit")2. Nik Kershaw : "I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" (Love Nik Kershaw... perfect pop songs with a twist)3. Sister Sledge : "Thinking of You" (Loved the 1992/4 remix so yeah like this)7. Blancmange : "Don't Tell Me" (Not bad)8. Phil Collins : "Against All Odds" (Need to be in the mood for this but generally a great ballad)14. Bob Marley & The Wailers : "One Love" (Great song - why do you hate it? )2. Cyndi Lauper : "Time after Time" (Timeless classic really - gets better with age I feel)3. Alison Moyet : "Love Resurrection" (Love it - what a chorus)7. Tina Turner : "What's Love Got to Do with It" (Her 80s revival was pure class... my grandad, mum and sister all loved her)

I think it may be because they both have VERY irritating crowd and cheering noises in the background!

Oh I like RuPaul ! I have one of her albums ( it was a gift),and a bad quality cdr of another that's a bit ropey so only half of the songs work lol - sounds like someone saying ''ssshh'' through the most of it. I don't know if I ever heard her version of Raining Men - it was before I got to like her.I forget. I like Ru Pauls music but have never paid any money for it haha.

Im not a fan of RuPaul's style of singing. The version Of IRM was a duet with Martha Wash, one of the Weather Girls. Courtesy of polyhex!28/02/1998 Martha Wash Featuring RuPaul It's Raining Men... The Sequel 21 {21}-35-52->3
Is that RuPaul out of drag in the picture underneath??
