I did like 'D'You Know What I Mean?' as it was epic and over the top but didn't like anything else I heard from it. My brother bought it and I was never inclined to after hearing it.

oasis are the most over-rated band of the last 10 years, well, most over-rated english band, behind greenday in the world stakes!

I think Be here now is oasis's best album.
it's funny how all the reviews slagged it off after it was praised at first by sooooo many people and critics.
go and buy it.

Isn't it a 75 minute album or something?

Isn't it a 75 minute album or something? yeah , n that s the real problem of that album.too long songs with overproduction. if u look to the songs u ll hardly find so many great tracks in any other oasis record. u can find the best oasis ballads "stand by me" , "dont go away" , epics "all around the world" , " fade in out" , pops "the girl with the dirty shirt" , "i hope i think i know" , rocks "be here now" , do u know what i mean"... for me "be here now" is a masterpiece.. just try n download the acoustic version of "stand by me"...mindblowin...t s up with the best beatles track

If it had been their first or second album, it would probably be considered a classic but it was overlong, overproduced and with the exception of one or maybe two tracks, didn't offer anything they didn't do much better on the previous two albums.

Interesting that not one BHN track makes the forthcoming best-of. If I ever see it for say a fiver I'll get it.

Never liked Don't Go Away. All Around The World - see Stand By Me D'You Know What I Mean - best track on the album, despite its length and possibly my favourite Oasis single. Should be on the best of. Be Here Now - Good pop song, refreshingly short (in comparison), should've been a single I Hope I Think I Know - OK, upbeat but seemed a bit Oasis-by-numbers The Girl With The Dirty Shirt - Worst song they've ever recorded.

i sais it firstbthat the songs r too long etc.
but it doesnt mean that they r bad melodies or anythin...
stand by me or dont go away with a different production could be miles better than any wonderwall

I thought it was a bit overblown, and too long. And I felt they were trying too hard with it. And many have viewed this as the moment that Britpop died.

I hate new studio albums that are 75 minutes long.Greatest Hits are fine, need to be so long.

i remeber the days when i was really into oasis. that was 6-7 yrs ago and i didn't know what musical treats there was other than oasis. now my opinion of all they've done is that they're alright. some good songs, but nothing that sounds different or trying something out.
