Starting where the previous list left off in quality terms... [9] 20 (27) A GOOD NIGHT FOR MY DRINKIN' - Supersuckers a pre-party song? [10] 19 (19) APPLE TREES - Ozma think you knew this rating already [5] 18 (82) SUMMER RAIN - Belinda Carlisle reminds me too much of that abominable "heaven is a place on earth" song[7] 17 (10) RECLUSER - Dover not actually one of my favourite Dover clips, although I almost gave it 8[9] 16 (28) LONELY CRYIN' ONLY - Therapy? an IJ classic [10] 15 (49) WALK OF LIFE - Dire Straits just a classic[7] 14 (16) KILLER - Spillage the guitar at 6:40 reminds me a lot of Pixies[9] 13 (11) DON'T MARRY HER - The Beautiful South[/b][/color] great not-especially-poppy pop tune[7] 12 (53) DEVIL CAME TO ME - Dover takes too long to get going[8] 11 (5) MY LIFE - Billy Joel i don't quite share your passion for Billy Joel, but this one's decent81/100 ;D Frank Turner in the top 10? When you said he'd done well, I thought you meant 60s or 70s...

About Beautiful South: I don't think I gave them enough credit before, they have a few good songs. Now to your top 10... #10: [8] Frank Turner - Nice enough song, didn't do all that well in my chart earlier this year. #9: [8] Silversun - Again, pretty good, sounds like it might be improving when you cut it out, too #8: [9] Go Shielas - Another Go Shielas song! And another one I like... female-fronted rock is one of the strong points of this rundown when it's sung right.
#7: [10] Dar Williams - Yet another IJ classic, has a good chance of getting in my top 200 next year too #6: [7] TV Smiths - Punky. Reminds me of the sort of stuff that the old music channel Skuzz (sp?) used to play... #5: [10] Beachy Head - Has a strong chance of getting pretty high in my list next year
#4: [9] Astrid - And another one (see #7): I knew this would be in here! Has grown on me over the years of (very) occasional listenage.#3: [6] Gin Blossoms - Hmm, it's alright I suppose, looks like a grower from its position last year. So will it be Dover again? ... *doesn't actually know yet (I refrained from scrolling far enough to reveal the chart before listening)* ...Yes it will! #2: [9] Easyworld - I still prefer 'Lights Out' and 'Bleach', but this is growing on me. Easyworld album to buy?
#1: [10] Dover - Yay, Dover!86/100

That Astrid one - I really don't know why it only reached #9 or so in my chart. I haven't actually listened to it for a long time but yes, it's a classic.
