Just ignore Earl P, he needs something to moan about, tell him you wear boots and he'll love you forever!

finally we lose a game and they get on posting it. I didn't see anyone come here posting when we were winning. That's because no one cares about Bradford but you and why would they?

Just ignore Earl P, he needs something to moan about, tell him you wear boots and he'll love you forever! I have the right to moan when my team loses badly at home to a team near the bottom of the table when we're supposed to be going for promotion.

Bradford beat the Cheats, now that is pleasing!

No we didn't. We lost at the Shrews.
You didn't misread it did you, maybe Brentford beat them?

Yes, Brentford won 1-0 at Chesterfield.
We finally got our first win of the season 2-1 against Aldershot. Incredibly we're in the top half of the table!

That's what you get with 3 team on negative points to start with who would all be ahead of you.

You got another draw, doing ok, but I'm sure you always start good and fade? You going to take in any games Robin?

I went last night and there is a lot more reason to be optimistic than in previous seasons. We are actually playing passing creative football which has been unheard of for 15 years!!!! We won't struggle too much this season though we're not good enough to challenge for the play offs yet. Maybe next season

Robin do you read Gavin Strachan's blog on the BBC? I'm finding it a good read every week!

Yeah I read it when I remember. It's good to read the thoughts and opinions of a typical footballer who doesn't have an inflated ego like many!

Surprising result for the Gills at Bradford yesterday. When they went 2-0 down on ht it seemed game over with their away record. Then they had a player sent off in the 2nd half, so to get a 2-2 draw is a fantastic result. A couple of Reading players scored yesterday as well, midfielder Scott Davies scored yet another pen for Aldershot, and Sigurdsson a 19 yr old central midfielder who's made 2 sub appearances in the carling cup this season scored on his debut for Shrewsbury. Also noticed that Brentford have conceded just 5 goals this season I guess their goalie Ben Hamer and centre-back Alan Bennett both on loan from us have played a large part in that.

Robin, got some Notts County match reports for you, from a Notts County fan. They're probably only echoing what youve said before but thought you may be interested nevertheless, could make this a regular thing if you like?
(9th Aug) Bradford City 2 Notts County 1 Coral Windows Stadium League 2 Att: 14038 Prog £2.50 Admission £20 (away section) An entertaining game with perhaps Bradford just shading it. Both teams tried to get the ball down and play football. Away fans now housed on the side of the ground which gives a good view of proceedings. The 'old' away stand now given over to home fans. Even with 14038 in the ground you still get the impresssion that the ground is fairly empty due to the massive size of the main stand and kop end. Plenty to read in the match programme for £2.50.
(6th Sep) Notts County 1 Bournemouth 1 League 2 : Att 4362 : Prog £2.50 (64 pages).
Notts, still searching for their first league win of the season, came away frustrated. They are now playing an eye catching brand of football which is more pleasing on the eye than the 'long ball to no effect' football we have been served up over the past few seasons. Notts had the greater number of chances, but with the Bournemouth keeper in inspired form, had to settle for a share of the spoils.
(13th Sep) League 2 : Fraser Eagle Stadium Accrington Stanley 1 Notts County 1 Admission £13 (away terrace) : Prog £3.00 (48 pages) Att 1404.
Since Accrington have been promoted back into the football league, Notts have won all four encounters (can we play you every week !!). So the travelling Notts faithful were hoping that we could pick up our first league win today having drawn the previous 4 games and lost the opening day fixture at Bradford. In an even contest Notts took the lead in the 90" minute through Sean Canham, who was signed from Team Bath where he scored 41 goals last season. Canham latched onto a dreadful back pass and, as cool and calm as you like, slotted it past the keeper. Surely now we could hold on through injury time but alas no - Accrington equalised in the 92nd minute ! It felt more like a defeat than an away draw especially as Michael Johnson had a header that thundered against the bar and Myles Weston saw his shot hit the inside of the post and come out.
On another note - £3 for the programme was the dearest I have paid in League 2 this season. The programme seller even admitting it was a rip off before I passed any comment ! The programme was a 48 page effort with 16 pages of adverts. Certainly the dearest and poorest programme I have bought in League 2 this season.

Thanks for those Tom, so far it has been a frustrating season with much improved performances and passing football, but too many missed chances and no better results than last season really!
