From DS -
Former Sugababe Mutya Buena will appear on Celebrity Big Brother 6, say reports.
According to the Daily Star, the singer wants to boost her solo career by entering the reality contest.
Buena performed with Sugababes between 1998 and 2005 and has released one solo album, 2007's Real Girl.
She scored top ten singles with 'Real Girl' and 'Song 4 Mutya', but follow-up releases 'Just A Little Bit' and 'B Boy Baby' failed to break the top 40.
Celebrity Big Brother 6 will air on Channel 4 in January. Other contestants rumoured to be taking part include Whitney Houston, Verne Troyer and Lembit Opik.

I can see Carol Vorderman doing this now that she's finished on Countdown, hope so, although everyone will need widescreen!

The old rumour mill has been quiet of late for CBB - apart from Mutya has denied that she will be taking part, and Cliff Richard has pulled out of CBB.
I haven't heard any new names for a while.

And then I posted the above yesterday, and hey presto! some news appears.
Patrick Moore and Tim Henman are two new names being bandied about for the next CBB.

Celebrity Big Brother is back after a one year hiatus and today the female housemates have finally been revealed.
The brave stars willing to bare their souls for the camera include former Sugababes singer Mutya Buena, glamour model Lucy Pinder and Shameless actress Tina Malone. Those rumoured to be joining them include former Liberty X band member Michelle Heaton, Loose Women presenter Sherrie Hewson and 1980s supermodel Paula Hamilton.
And on the male side of things Austin Powers 'Mini me' actor Verne Troyer and socialist MSP Tommy Sheridan. Among those rumoured to be joining them are Coolio, and Ian Wright.
It looks set to be an explosive mix, as several of the stars are known for their fiery personalities and troubled pasts.
Buena, 23, left the Sugababes three years ago after rowing with her band mates and is likely to speak her mind in the BB house. Loose Woman presenter Hewson, 58, is also likely to be an outspoken housemate.
Big-busted Pinder, 24, is usually seen gracing the front page of the Star newspaper and is a regular feature on the rag's page three.
Heaton, 28, became well-known after forming girl band Liberty X after failing to make it into Hear'Say in the 2001 series of Popstars. The group split in May last year. She married Pop Idol loser Andy Scott-Lee in a lavish ceremony in 2006, but the pair separated in June this year.
Model Hamiton, 47, rose to fame as the face of the Volkswagen Golf advert in the 1980s, but had to stop working in 1988 after suffering from drug and alcohol problems. Since then she has revived her career as a judge on Britain's Top Model.
Brookside and Shameless actress Malone, 45, was a spokeswoman for bigger women and claimed she was 'proud to be a fat bird'. However she seemed to change her mind earlier this year when she lost five stone after having a gastric band fitted.
It had been rumoured that Satanic Sluts dancer Georgina Baillie was being lined up for the show after being thrust into the limelight when Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross broadcast rude phone calls to her Fawlty Towers grandfather Andrew Sachs. However it seems that producers were unable to strike a deal with the burlesque dancer.
The controversial Channel 4 show is due to return on Friday January 2 and will be hosted by BB veteran Davina McCall.
George Lamb will present Big Brother's Little Brother on E4, while comedian Jack Whitehall will host debate show Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth.
The new house will feature fairground carousel horses in the garden in place of the swimming pool and a 'bling' bathroom.

Latest rumours: TELLY beauty Ulrika Jonsson is getting a staggering £175,000 for her stint on Celebrity Big Brother—causing a storm among the other housemates who are on MUCH less.
Ulrika’s gigantic paypacket, for up to three weeks’ work, is EIGHT-AND-HALF TIMES as much as former A1 singer Ben Adams, who will get a comparatively measly £20,000.
And it’s nearly SIX TIMES more than Shameless actress Tina Malone and rapper Coolio, who get £30,000 each for the series starting Friday.
Ulrika’s fee is believed to be the highest EVER for the Channel 4 show—and is £25,000 higher than this year’s next best-paid star, glamour girl Lucy Pinder.
But TV bosses hope Ulrika, 41, will pull in huge audiences by spilling the beans on her exes—who include former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson, disgraced footballer Stan Collymore and shamed TV presenter John Leslie.
A CBB insider said: “Many of the other celebrities are fuming.
“When you are doing exactly the same job as someone else and they are getting paid much more, it can cause resentment. But Channel 4 thinks Ulrika is the top-billing celeb because of her past. “The revelations she may come out with will get everybody watching—we hope it’s going to be TV dynamite!”
The other housemates are ex- Sugababe Mutya Buena and former Word host Terry Christian, who get between £50,0000 and £75,000 each, Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton (£60,000), La Toya Jackson (£100,000) and Mini-Me actor Verne Troyer (£136,000).
Controversial Scottish politician Tommy Sheridan is in the house too but his fee is unknown. Which means: Ulrika Jonsson Ben Adams Tina Malone Coolio Lucy Pinder Mutya Buena Terry Christian Michelle Heaton LaToya Jackson Verne Troyer Tommy Sheridan

I really, really, really hope La Toya is in the Big Brother house! It would be like career viagra for her!
What about the rumours that Bobby Brown was going in? I know that Whitney's camp have confirmed her involvement as false but I was pretty sure her ex was going in.

Eighties pop star Steve Strange is in eleventh hour talks to appear in Celebrity Big Brother, it's reported.
The singer, 49, who fronted New Romantic band Visage, entertained viewers of Children In Need's Celebrity Scissorhands on BBC3 with his eccentric behaviour.
And CBB producers are said to hope he will do the same in the Channel 4 show, which begins on Friday.

Ben Adams is complaining about getting 20k, I mean who seriously knows who he is? Whereas Ulrika Jonsson, everyone knows her. La Toya Jackson, no chuffing way!
