Well, I'm thoroughly looking forward to tomorrow night now... 'The Best Group of 8 ever' is the description of many american observers...

We're up to the final 32 here now... Scooter Girl is still in isn't she? And next week has the first lot of 8, including Fantasia & the big haired girl in the outfit that Simon said you would wrap a turkey in... And that Asian guy with the good voice whose father was proud of him is out? It's a bit hard to follow, but they let some DREADFUL people through - lots of large guys, the pool bimbo, & that redheaded nerd... I was glad to see Fantasia go through cos she made me laugh and she has a fabulous name... I was surprised to see Jonah go through. And I did laugh when Michael Cowan was SO p*ssed off at not going through...how bloody arrogant was he?!! The way he pointed out after his group performance that "you KNOW you have seen me do better..." and then when he got eliminated he was like, "but you said I did a great version of your favourite song!" Just GO!!! (oh yeah...he'll be back next year... )

Is Briana Ramirez-Rial a lesbob? I noticed her on Friday night, she looked almost like a stereotypical lesbob, like she was trying a bit too hard...
Interesting that the Roman brothers are up against each other in this round. I wonder if that was deliberate?

Why were they put in the same group? In the callback shows there was an issue between Julia DeMato and Kimberly Caldwell in the groups stage, Julia couldn't find the other girls to practice with, so there was a bit of a spat subsequently where Kim came across as bitchy and Julia came across as wronged... they were in the first semi together, and Kimberly was FAR better than Julia on the night, but came third (she was subsequently a wildcard) while Julia came second...

Cheers David, you font of all knowledge! ;D So who got further in the contest, Kimberley or Julia? Kimberly came 7th, Julia 10th... Julia did better than she should have, and Kimberly probably should've been 6th, she was definitely better than 6th placer Carmen Rasmusen, and probably better than MARINE Joshua Gracin, who came 4th...

I disagree, I thought Trenyce had a couple of dodgy performances, but when she was on she was on... Kimberley's performance of 'Everything I Do' was absolutely horrible, worse even than Carmen's performance on the same night...

Thanks David for the warning on the other thread I'll keep posting my opinions in here without reading the other thread... We have 2 episodes this week, presumably taking us through to the end of the first 8.
