Well GOOD, 1 pound per journey is TOO much! Isn't it JUST! I was really shocked when they went up, 30p is a HUGE increase in one go. Whats the charge in Central London now do you know?? Cos that used to be a pound...

It's a pound everywhere, we get the little saver books, 4 quid for 6 tickets, saves fumbling for change...

I can reply to this thread now til the next episode I agree with David on the best 3, & that's who I picked too. Diana performed first & I knew she would be through unless someone amazing came along. I knew Fantasia was in this round & expected big things, & before then I was thinking of Jennifer as the third possibility. Then of course Fantasia cleaned up, the girl is a STAR. Was a bit scared when Matthew made the top 3, but Diana edged him out ;D Here's to Jennifer in the wildcard!

Oh & do you guys get the results show right after? We did, I much prefer not having to wait, seeing as we can't vote anyway. And Ryan Seacrest is nice

And once again the girls are totally wiping the floor with the guys. A lot of the guys are ok, but just ok, not amazing, & that's not gonna be enough this time.

I'm almost certain it'll be a female majority in the final 12, there've just not been many memorable guys this year... Michael Keown was good enough, but blew it in the callbacks by being an arrogant twerp... That said, don't be surprised to see him wildcarded, along with Lauren Enswiller and Nicole Tieri... some of the more surprising cuts...

It's interesting that the wildcards can be anyone from any stage of the auditions, in Australian Idol they had to be from the final 32, except Liban who they let through as a judges choice.

They did it last year too, putting 4 people outside the top 32 into a wildcard round from which 4 out of 9 went through... Only one made it to the final 12 however...

the Uk pop idol 2 wildcard was terrible
incredibly predictable and not the majority never had enough anyway
i love the american wildcard but 2 questions
who picks who goes in the show? do each of the judges pcik 3 or what?
and how do they make it so that each judge picks a different wildcard?

The judges decide as a group who goes into the wildcard, then each judge picks their choice of wildcard and the fourth is decided by a phone vote...
Last year Randy picked Kimberly Caldwell, Paula picked Trenyce, Simon picked Carmen Rasmusen and Clay won the phone vote...

I assume the judges pick their first, second and third choices, and as they go down the line, if their first choice is already taken, they go to their second choice, and then their third if they have to...

In the Aussie one the judges picked 2 each, but their second choice remained a secret unless another judge picked their first choice...

Yes Courtney got so close to the top 12 several times, first I think being third in the heats, then again in the Wildcard! Her popularity is acknowledged though, she was the only non-finalist who was involved in the concerts.
