Which of these songs in the year 1985 in your view should not have been #1, I am doing polls for the whole Eighties this time, once we have 10 winners (we have to split up some years there is not enough options on a poll to match the #1's in a year plus joint winners) we will have a last poll to decide which song out of the years 1980-1989 should not have been #1.
These are 3 day polls this time.
Happy Voting

The one I voted for had far more than 2 artists on it, but given the songwriters were Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson, they might have come up with something better. I mean, Midge Ure and Bob Geldof managed to...
I can't vote for the Crowd. I still remember the fire. The money raised went to the Burns Unit and there is a memorial every year on 11 May. It wasn't a dreadful version of the song either. Probably a lot better than Robson & Jerome's although I've never heard that version.

Two huge artists, one dreadful cover version!!!! Two consecutive number ones were a combination of two major artists performing a cover version. I cannot be cetain which one you mean but I reckon it was the first of the two.

I don't know why that got picked, given that the Geraldine McQueen & Susan Boyle version did ok in the single of the week poll on here a few months ago and there have been some other dreadful covers too, but I guess it's those covers that made people dislike the song altogether.
I guess now that Robin voted for Dancing In The Street as it did pick up one vote.
I expected We Are The World to win (or lose if that's what you call it).

What an amazing result - would never have guessed that would win through, although on reflection it' s the sort of classy record which doesn't appeal to the younger element on the Forum.
