Which of these songs in the year 1987 in your view should not have been #1, I am doing polls for the whole Eighties this time, once we have 10 winners (we have to split up some years there is not enough options on a poll to match the #1's in a year plus joint winners) we will have a last poll to decide which song out of the years 1980-1989 should not have been #1.
These are 3 day polls this time.
Happy Voting

can't predict this one but I counted at least 4 of them worse than the "obvious" choice of Startrekkin' and decided to go for one that technically should never have been number one.

Oh, I quite like that list! I have gone for Ben E King as I remember I was sick to death of old revival hits by that point. Was never keen on La Bamba either.

So Steve "Silk" Hurley "Jack Your Body" goes through to the decade final.

That's the one I voted for. Some "house" music was good. Pump Up The Volume is an example of good house. Jack Your Body was just boring.

I bought Jack Your Body on 7" back in 87. Certainly doesn't deserve to win this one

Haha- I voted for that as well- dull & repetitive IMO.

Shocking result. Jack Your Body hasn't aged well, but it is a very important and iconic track, and far from being the worst on this list. At the time it was a breath of fresh air, before the #1 slot returned to such turgid drivel as Starship, Michael Jackson & Siedah Garrett, and T'Pau.

Shame Jack Your Body won. As stated above, a very iconic dance track!

Shame Jack Your Body won. As stated above, a very iconic dance track! Indeed. And to get fewer results than Star Trekkin is frankly ludicrous

The 3 you hate so much all had proper tunes.

For once, the most deserving song won. Their have been dozens of seminal (Chicago) House tracks better than that repetitive dirge, that did not get to the summit of the UK charts.
