Connected to the thtread "Top 200 best selling album of the noughties" here's your chance to pick your fav of the decade to join Alanis Morissette (90s) and Pet Shop Boys (80s) as haven's favourites. Open for 5 days, top 3 will go through to next round, and ties to be decided in favour of the bigger seller!

Around mid-2001 is when I generally stopped listening to albums as I started burning CDs of my playlists and was listening to that more than single-artist albums. I bought a few from that point, most of which won't appear in this poll but one or two that did, but even then I did not listen to them as much in general as I would have done before.
At the start of 1999 my chart was a humble top 30, and then it grew into a top 100 during the 2000s. Actually it was a top 25 at the start of 1998, so pretty much all through britpop. Then I started buying loads of CD singles so my playlists grew hugely and I needed to find more time to listen to them.
From 2007 it has been all downloading and I have bought even fewer albums.

What a mediocre bunch. I own two from the list, one of those (outside of the singles) is terrible.
Voted for one.

They should have been huge but had the misfortune to come up with their retro 1960s vibe debut album with edgy modern lyrics six months too early before Amy Winehouse 2nd album came along and made it the in thing to be. Oh, I voted for 3.

Couple of other things didn't help; being on a small indie label and not having any obvious television outlet. They'd've been a natural fit for Tiswas, Cheggers Plays Pop, TOTP, whatever, but it had all gone.
Best act I have ever seen live. Their tweensong banter was epic. Someone ought to have got them a sitcom...
