So is anyone doing a review of the album for those of us who have not yet bought it and are wavering... Anyone know the next single? I'm liking Dirty paws and Mountain sound, but Love love love is a bit meh.

the next single is Mountain Sound according to Manic´s schedule... not very familiar with it cos it was not originally included in the version of the album that I got back in Feb. You don´t like Love Love Love? I personally love it wouldnt mind if it was a single... I particularly like this live version

yeah it was at leeds festival, my mate who hadn't heard of them before described them as an icelandic arcade fire which i kinda think summed them up, they were good live, the crowd enjoyed the whole set even though i doubt many knew anything other than the singles

^you should totally do!!! I finally saw them live this week, and they were just brilliant!!! totally rocked!!! The guy and the girl singing have really great voices, very powerful, love their Icelandic accents when they talk... and the band is great, lots of people, like 7 or 8, 4 guitars, drums, pianos, trumpet, accordion... a kinda short gig, like 1 hour maybe, but we kinda expected it as they only have 1 album. I stole the setlist, which was: Dirty Paws From Finner Slow & Steady Mountain Sound Skeletons Your Bones Love Love Love King & Lionheart Lakehouse Little Talks Six Weeks ---- Sloom Yellow Light

Heard the album in full on Tuesday, and was blown away. Walked into a record store on Wednesday, and there it was, priced at just £5. (Actually $8, cos it was in Canada). Needless to say, I snapped it up.
Brilliant. "Little Talks" is a strong contender for my single of the year.
Arcade Fire comparisons are valid, but OMAM are slightly more poppy.

£5, that's a bargain! I'm going to see if my local supermarket has it any cheaper, if they have it in at all...

New single is "Mountain Sound". Here's the video: I expect a minor Top 75 hit, but nothing more sadly.

What an album!!, it's bands like this that should be selling over 100,000 albums in a week, not some rubbish duo who's name sounds like an antiques shop owned by a father and his son!.
Ireland's sales may be small, but at least like you say Andy they have better taste, although they do like Mumford, at least they still know Of Monsters and Men's true brilliance, and still buy U2 albums like before, while the rest of the world kind of shunned away from their previous album in comparison to previous ones.
Just ordered the album on Play.com after listening to it on Spotify, which I think is great, it really is a revolutionary "try before you buy" tool, and there I was thinking the barcode scanner in Fnac in Madrid was something great. What you do there, is take a CD you like to possibly buy, go up to a pair of headphones, put them on and then scan the barcode of the CD, then the music plays. All very good, but you have to go to the shop, while with Spotify, you're at home.
So yes, Of Monsters and Men are yet another brilliant band Iceland has brought to the world!!.

Our Price used to have listening stations where you could listen before buying, I used them a lot until the shop shut down I dont mind mumford doing well, as they are different to the rest of the tripe in the charts, obviously I'd love OM&M being #1 for weeks on end, but it's rare artists I like to get Top 40, so for them to have a Top 20 hit and Top 5 album is brilliant!
