This is week 5 of the top 10 countdowns of the 60th anniversary of the UK chart, which comes up in November, every week I will be counting down all the anniversary Top 10's Chart show style, 2 different years per week. There is a front cover & You Tube link for each. I have used an online random selector to select each year. They are all around W/E 15th November each year. Thanks to wikepida for the trivia. First The Who are an English rock band formed in 1964 by Roger Daltrey (lead vocals, harmonica and guitar), Pete Townshend (guitar, keyboards and vocals), John Entwistle (bass guitar, brass and vocals) and Keith Moon (drums and percussion). John William "Long John" Baldry (12 January 1941 – 21 July 2005) was an English and Canadian blues singer and a voice actor. He sang with many British musicians, with Rod Stewart and Elton John appearing in bands led by Baldry in the 1960s. He enjoyed pop success in the UK where Let the Heartaches Begin reached No. 1 in 1967 and in Australia where his duet with Kathi McDonald You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' reached number two in 1980. Baldry lived inCanada from the late 1970s until his death. There he continued to make records and dovoiceover work. He was well known for the voice of Dr Robotnik in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. this is Let The Heartaches Begin New at Number 9

Donovan (born Donovan Philips Leitch, 10 May 1946) is a Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist. Initially labelled as an imitator of Bob Dylan, Donovan quickly developed an eclectic and distinctive style that blended folk, jazz, pop, psychedelia, and world music (notablycalypso). He has variously lived in Scotland, London, California and Ireland, and currently lives with his family in County Cork in Ireland. Number 8 up 6 with There Is A Mountain

Eric Victor Burdon (born 11 May 1941) is an English singer-songwriter best known as a member and vocalist of rock band The Animals, and the funk rock band War and for his aggressive stage performance. The Troggs are an English rock band from the 1960s that had a number of hits in UK and the US. Their most famous songs include the Hot 100 chart topper "Wild Thing", "With a Girl Like You", and "Love Is All Around". "Wild Thing" is ranked #257 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and was an influence on garage rockand punk rock. Number 6 up 1 Troggs - Love Is All Around

Top 3 on the 15th anniversary chart. The Kinks were an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, by brothers Rayand Dave Davies in 1964. Categorised in the United States as a British Invasion band, The Kinks are recognised as one of the most important and influential rock acts of the era. Their music was influenced by a wide range of genres, including rhythm and blues, British music hall,folk and country. Ray Davies (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Dave Davies (lead guitar, vocals) remained members throughout the group's 32-year run. Original members Pete Quaife (bass guitar, vocals) and Mick Avory (drums and percussion) were replaced by John Dalton in 1969 and Bob Henrit in 1984, respectively. Dalton was in turn replaced by Jim Rodford in 1978. Keyboardist Nicky Hopkins accompanied the band during studio sessions in the mid-1960s. "Call on Me" is a dance music track based on a re-recorded sample of Steve Winwood's 1982 song "Valerie". When Prydz presented the track to Winwood, he was so impressed with what Prydz had done, he collaborated with him and re-recorded the vocals to fit the track better. Blue are an English pop boyband. The band consists of Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan,Duncan James and Antony Costa. Blue originally formed in 2000 before splitting in 2005. They reformed in April 2009 and represented the United Kingdom at theEurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany with the song "I Can". They came 11th, earning 100 points.
