The head-to-head battles were the weakest part of the format. They just developed into a shout-off. I'm sure it would have worked better if they each got to perform the chosen song on their own.

No amount of money can save this show when the coaches just don't work. I'll reiterate what I said in November, the show and its concept is great and vastly preferable to the nasty let's laugh at the deluded idiots, and hype up the acts we want to do well/badly with the help of the tabloids/Heat magazine & D****** S** website in a manner that Joseph Goebbels would get embarrassed over that Syco produces (BG noT/ fiX-Factor); but bar Tom Jones the judges sucked badly last time. Will I Am and his pregnant pulses for thought (clue: what about thinking of something intelligent/profound/insightful to say in the afternoon rehearsal, write it down and then repeat it off your notes like other judges do on other talent shows) over-punctuated lunacy; Jessie J (like a hyperactive child overdosed on Sunny Delight) pulling duck faces & "gangs-ta" rap hand gestures; and worst of the lot Danny out of the Script (with his having sex face when enjoying an act; and then jumping on his chair, and begging an act to pick him) aaaarrrrrrggghhh, and to think they ditched Will Young at the last minute for this annoying 'Oirish idiot that makes Louis Walsh about as lovable as Father Ted. ..... and most surprisingly Holly Willoughby might as well be replaced by a blow up sex-doll; and leave Reggie Yates to host solo. If the BBC's production of Strictly Come Dancing is a perfect guide to how to produce a fantastic TV talent show; then their truly dire attempt at The Voice is a guide for the 46 other countries (7 more than X-Factor has managed in total over a much longer period) how not to produce this show, who have bought this brilliant Dutch syndicate concept.
