I never expected Ella to go out tonight though.

Gutted to see Ella go, had her down for the final! Should have been James, Ella is way better than him and actually has a personality!
Sorry to those who rate James, each to their own but i just don't get him.

I expect James is the kind of singer that really doesn't need the x factor constraining him.

Shouldn't be too surprised though, there's always a shock result in this show. I'm sure she'll go on to do well.

I'm devastated, as much as I got bored of her she would have been the perfect winner.

I hope Ella gets a deal, she's a bit early out to be guaranteed one but hopefully given neither Rylan or Chris are properly commercial, she might get a sniff.

serves Tulisa right for saving Rylan

All good and well saying Tulisa deserves it, but that doesn't change the fate of a lovely 16 year old girl who had talent.

She wasn't all that - she screamed through a lot of her songs and hit many bum notes

Watching Xtra Factor and Rylan was crying his eyes out saying it was wrong that he was still there. Chris, on the other hand, said he was voted in by the public and Ella wasn't so he obviously had fans Ella didn't.
I would gladly see Rylan win if it meant Chris didn't for reasons like that.

I think I'd put my fist through my laptop if Chris won, it would be a travesty of tragic proportions!

But he's right - the public did vote for him.
Its wrong to say that people are voting for him over Ella (or anyone else), everyone has their own favourites
I'm pretty sure nobody is sitting at home saying "oh I want to vote Elle but I'm going to vote for Chris instead", therie fanbases are completely different

She wasn't all that - she screamed through a lot of her songs and hit many bum notes All what? I said she had talent, didn't say any more than that. Compared to the others, she has talent. Who do you favour, out of interest? They've all had bum weeks, or are repetitive and one-track.

Why? that's just ridiculous It would definitely be an embarrassment for the X Factor if Chris won given how divisive and at times, frankly dull he is. He's not the new and interesting talent they claim to be looking for and it seems someone within the media is intent on wrecking his chances, whether it's X Factor or ITV themselves, I'm not sure. The rumours are either based in reality or made up to harm his chances.

I like him, but he's done no worse than what you suggested Ella did! At times, the way he oversings actually ruins his performance. He really does better when he keeps it simple, like last night.

The rumours are either based in reality or made up to harm his chances. As Rufus Hound said to Olly on The Xtra Factor "She's only been voted out of a TV show, they don't take you to a room and shoot you in the back of the head". Olly didn't win but has just appeared on TV and about to release his 3rd album following 2 double-platinum albums - where are Leon Jackson & Steve Brookstein now? If Rylan or Chris wins they will be quietly swept under the carpet as previous non-winners have while the better acts have gone on to have a career. Its no big deal

Coming 6th isn't quite the same though. Few acts get a deal who go out this early.
