Overall good scores for this year.
A-Ha a worthy enough winner but Prince and Duran Duran not their best singles.
Quite surprised Tears For Fears didn't rate more highly.

Arguably 1985 was the year that the UK charts really started to go downhill. The number 2's were a fairly nondescript bunch. I've always thought the A-Ha song was very over-rated, the video was the main selling point.
