Im Nin Alu by Ofra Haza I still listen to this day, I put it pretty much on all my playlists, I love the song. I bought the seven inch single from record vouchers I got for my 12th birthday.

Even today, despite everything, I bet you could name half-a-dozen of Gary Glitter's hits.
Could you name any of The Glitter Band's? Even though five of them went top ten?

The Wimbledon Choral Society 'Pavane'...something topical! Best World Cup theme tune since Nessun Dorma...

Lodger - I'm Leaving Side project of Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, featuring vocals by his now-missus (and ex of Gavin Rossdale) Pearl Lowe.

I remember Clare Grogan introducing this on VH1 saying that she didn't remember it at all. I was so pleased to find we were on the same wavelength. It's got to be just about the most yuppie single ever released...

Loving these 1988 ones. "Im Nin'Alu" is just pure class, and so, in an entirely different way, is "Somewhere Down The Crazy River". I still listen to both. The Magnum and Narada tracks aren't bad, either.
Less said about that Des'ree track, the better...
While this act aren't forgotten, this single probably more or less has been: a pity as it's rather an agreeable summertime sound...

Radio 1 seemed very fond of this at the time. It's alright enough

While this...is rather fine. Expected it to be rather a bigger hit than it was, but perhaps it was (a) too subtle and (b) a bit too late.

While this was one of several superb garage tracks on Cooltempo Records to cross over in early '89. It'd be fair to say that some aspects of the track were not been forgotten...

Another lost classic (the sound of many a pirate radio station in the summer of '89)...

That's not the And Why Not song I remember, oddly enough.
And I'm, er, with you about that Bangles track. I'm not sure I'd even heard it before I bought the Greatest Hits.

I heard this on Radio 2 today, so maybe it's not quite as forgotten as I thought. But I hadn't heard it broadcast for ages before then:
And here's a less good but even bigger and more forgotten hit by the same band:

Love the Spear Of Destiny track. Bought it for 10p in the Woolies sale of chart-defuncts.

Funny that "This Summer" came into my mind just yesterday, although I'd not heard it for ages (I guess a bit of sunshine might be the explanation..).
I'd quite forgotten how very welcome that reappearance of Squeeze in the early-to-mid 90s years: they had a few really decent singles at that time: always seemingly being played on GLR when I was in London then.

Well, "The Face" was rather more straightforward, and a much bigger hit (helped by the January lull in sales, though). But I think "Restless Days" is a better song. But still only a 3 out of 5 from me, really.
A quick discussion with several people today suggests this, from 1995, has not been widely remembered (unrepresentative sample of people, perhaps), but I think it's rather moving, and touching. And Mike and the Mechanics are not a band I would generally spend a great deal of time listening to....

This might be a bit MOR, Essex Radio daytime play (it certainly was that, back in the day), perhaps even "Alan Partridge" (if not *quite* Smashie and Nicey) music. But. well, what of it? It's a decent enough song to warrant a listen...

And, also on the long-established artist from some years earlier attempting a comeback front, there is this track by a reformulated (and, for legal reasons, renamed) version of Yes, which I still have a great fondness for. A bit of an epic at 10+ minutes.
