Well, "The Face" was rather more straightforward, and a much bigger hit (helped by the January lull in sales, though). But I think "Restless Days" is a better song. But still only a 3 out of 5 from me, really.
A quick discussion with several people today suggests this, from 1995, has not been widely remembered (unrepresentative sample of people, perhaps), but I think it's rather moving, and touching. And Mike and the Mechanics are not a band I would generally spend a great deal of time listening to....
great song... mike & the mechanics are a guilty pleasure of mine. 'over my shoulder' was a great song.
I quite like Zoe's "Lightning"...when it's performed properly: and as for the Grid, two of their earlier singles (neither of which were big hits), "Floatation" and "A Beat Called Love"...are very fine.
I prefer "Every Heartbeat" to "Baby Baby", but Amy Grant has done better than either.
