Remember in the early 2000s when electroclash was hailed as the next big thing?
It never really broke through, but of course produced a few minor hits, the most noteable one being the Fischerspooner remix of Kylie's Come Into My World (#8):
Of course, Fischerspooner had a minor hit of their own with Emerge (#25):
Felix Da Housecat and Miss Kitten also had a minor hit with Silver Screen Shower Scene (#39):

Anyone who is a sucker for the Hal Blaine missed beat and the Wall of Sound would love this...
...and, if you don't, then there's prime Wendy James.

-OK - Girls@Play, Girl Thing, Cleopatra, TSD, Frank, 21st Century Girls, Tommi. What does that say to you about dull unimaginative landfill Spice Girl ripoffs?
-There's too many of them?
-That's one way of looking at it, another way of looking at it is, people like them, let's make some more of them.

Leilani with 'Madness Thing'. Leilani was on the recent series of Survivor UK. I didn’t realise until halfway through.

I don't like Spice Girls, but some songs from short lived UK girl bands were big hits (even # 1s) in my chart.
