The only decent thing about X Factor is if somebody decides to sing a rarer good song in the auditions. I'm hoping Kodaline - High Hopes might get some more well deserved exposure.

It starts tonight. Shame I won't be able to watch it online. I'll be one day behind you every week.

Well... nothing ground breaking tonight, Sam Bailey is the new Mary Bryne, a compilation album full of covers for Mothers Day 2014

The only one I seemed to like was the guy who wrote his own song near the end. Quite a happy cheery song.
Other than that, nothing else stood out.

First big scandal on this year's show www.unrealitytv.co.uk/x-factor/x-factor-2013-hopeful-tamera-foster-reportedly-at-the-centre-of-a-new-drugs-scandal-as-insider-warns-appropriate-action-will-be-taken/X Factor 2013: Hopeful Tamera Foster reportedly “at the centre of a new drugs scandal” as insider warns “appropriate action will be taken!” September 1st, 2013 by Lynn Connolly. During last night’s debut of the new series of X Factor, we saw hopefuls Tamera Foster and Jerrie Bafundila – who introduced themselves as Silver Rock – being asked by the judges to audition separately as solo singers…Which they subsequently did, and both were put forward to the next round which is of course the arena auditions, footage from which will air in tonight’s show from 8pm on ITV1. However, as we reported earlier, 16 year old Tamera’s second audition doesn’t go so well, and to add to her woes, it’s been claimed today that she is “at the centre of a new drugs scandal” as it’s been reported that she made “boasts” on Twitter about smoking marijuana. The Daily Mirror reports, “Tamera Foster, 16 – who enthralled the judges on yesterday’s opening show – not only posted pictures of what appeared to be a cannabis joint but also bragged about smoking “zoom”, which is marijuana coated in class-A drug PCP.”The paper adds that along with the picture, Tamera commented, “Puffing on that Mary Jane…” Mary Jane is of course a colloquial term for cannabis, and apparently, Tamera used the term frequently on Twitter and Instagram, posting comments that included, “Time to fly high with my sis,” and “In hale that good s**t exhale the bulls**t.” Back in January, she reportedly wrote, “Riding that morning wave… “The Sweet Sweet Mary Jane.” The article goes on to say that X Factor bosses spoke to Tamera about the images and her comments, and insiders on the show said she was “mortified” and had subsequently removed them. Last night, an X Factor spokesman said in a statement, “The X Factor does not condone the use of drugs in any way… “Appropriate action will be taken against anyone found to be taking drugs while under our care.” A show insider added, “Tamera has been spoken to, however, bosses realise she was young and impressionable… “[They] don’t want to ruin her chances on the show because of this.” Well here’s hoping this blows over. Tamera’s too talented to be left behind because of a daft mistake. What say you? For now, here’s a reminder of her audition with Jerrie…

So it's okay to take drugs as long as you dont boast about it!

Simon Cowell tweets that Fil is a 'plonker'
X Factor 2013's first episode marked the return of Sharon Osbourne to the judging panel alongside Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh. But the shadow of Simon Cowell still looms over the show.
On viewing the opener, it's clear he was less than impressed with Fil Henley, a would-be rocker who came to the audition armed with a guitar and some sandwiches his mother made for him. Taking to Twitter, he tweeted: "@simoncowell - We may have the biggest X factor plonker. Phil spelt with an F."
Oh, poor Fil! He wasn't that bad. But, as you can see, Simon was his usual critical self. Fil, a 30-year-old from Maidenhead, performed his own take on Robbie Williams' Let Me Entertain You.

Heard a bit of goss about Simon Cowell, the son of a lady who works for my folks is currently doing some work for Simon (i won't give details) and doesn't have a lot of good things to say about him...neither does many others who work for him. Apparently Mr Cowell is a bit of grumpy old meanie. Really? Simon Cowell a meanie? Never!

The X Factor have introduced a new, slightly convoluted voting system that they’ll implement on the first live show on Saturday October 12, reports the BBC. Basically, once all the ‘acts’ have performed the phone lines will be opened for ten minutes and some sort of ‘flash vote’ will take place. The person with the lowest number of votes will then have to perform in the sing-off on the Sunday show. The lines are then re-opened, with the second contestant due to face the sing-off announced once the real popstar’s have had a singsong. The theme of the first live show – which will apparently last for TWO HOURS – is ‘the 80s’. Source: www.popjustice.com/thenews/x-factor-new-voting-thing-live-shows/120587/#ixzz2glmydieX

This series is so bad is not worth watching, the only act that sticks out from the boys group is Nicholas, Sam is there for eye candy and Luke is another Frankie Cocossa. And the only act that sticks out from the Overs is Lorna, the other two acts will end up doing a covers album for Mothers Day, Shelley just gets on my tits.
