Cheers Meister, try listening to the other albums and passing your thoughts on them, it's good to listen to different genres.

Well, just to ruin everything, I've found that Lenny Henry spoof:
The production values aren't that bad considering it probably cost less than a hundredth as much as the original. The jokes, maybe not so much.
Incidentally, Thriller is an example of why I chose not to give track-by-track marks (or at least not to average them out). IMO it's possible for a record to be more or less than the sum of its parts and the total length of the album is also a consideration. I'm not knocking what others do, I rather enjoy seeing all the different approaches to reviews as much as I enjoy the different opinions.

Sorry for the lateness, I was busy sunning myself in salou and Barcelona and then gta 5 took over my life, right onto havens 3rd classic album
Michael Jackson - Thriller
1. "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" - a good start to the album, a song I know well from all the 80's discos I have been to over the years, always welcome amongst all the cheese and it always gets people moving (8) 2. "Baby Be Mine" - not one I knew of before this but as soul pop goes it is pretty good (7) 3. "The Girl Is Mine" (with Paul McCartney) I seem to be in the minority liking this one if you cut the last 45 seconds (7) 4. "Thriller" - amazing, love thriller, probably the best track on the album, a classic, what more can be said that hasn't already (9.5) 5. "Beat It" - another one of my favourite songs by MJ, but the real hero for me on this track is eddie van halen (9) 6. "Billie Jean" - this song completes a very solid middle of the album but I prefer thriller and beat it (8) 7. "Human Nature" - nothing new or exciting and seems to cover old ground, if I wasn't reviewing this I would finish listening to the alum now (4) 8. "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" the album certainly neded livening up towards the end so I guess it does the job well enough (5) 9. "The Lady in My Life" - not a fan of ballads, not a fan of MJ in particular, weak end to the album (3)
60.5 / 9 = 6.7
o my score is 7/10
