Hope they choose some good 80's tracks and dont diverse from the subject.
if they are good performances lets see the originals back in the chart.
They could well go for the number one singles in most cases like Starship

Singer - Song - My Rating:
1. Hannah Barrett - What's Love Got To Do With It - 7/10 - good start
2. Nicholas McDonald - True - 9/10 - flawless performance
3. Miss Dynamix - Jump - 3/10 - not great, overshadowed by the music
4. Sam Bailey - Power of Love - 8/10 -- lovely voice
5. Sam Callahan - Summer of 69 - 1/10 - dire
6. Kingsland Road - Im your Man - 8/10 - sounds good..next one direction?
7. Shelley Smith - Alone - 6/10 - ok in places - Average
8. Abi Alton - Living On A Prayer - 8/10 - Almost song of the night, great version.
9. Lorna Simpson - So emotional - 7/10 - ok, nothing special
10. Tamera Foster - Aint nobody - 6/10 - ok..forgettable though
11. Luke Friend - Every Breath you Take - 4/10 - hmm..not my cuppa tea
12. Rough Copy - In the Air Tonight - 8/10 - good trio - one to watch.
Overall, I think Nicholas just won the performance of the night, but closely followed by Abi, Sam and Rough Copy.
I dont think shelley deserves to be in the bottom two, I think it should be Sam and Miss Dynamix.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24511866The ratings for Saturday's first live show were more than one million viewers down on the first live show last year. It had an average of 8.1 million viewers and peaked at 9.5 million. The same episode last year was watched by 9.2 million, with a peak of 10.3 million. It left the show 1.7 million viewers behind the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing - also broadcast on Saturday evening - which had its highest audience of the series with 9.8 million viewers and a peak audience of 10.9 million. I guess this is what happens when you have the odious Sharon Osbourne as a mentor/judge + somehow not selecting two of the three best singers (Melanie and Paul) through to the Final 12 = The Viewers switch off.

Looks like history has repeated itself. just like in series 4 Sharon has 2 acts in the bottom 2, Shelly & Lorna. With Lorna being voted out. Was it the right decision? To be honest I don't think it was even though both sang great well better than last night. I think it would have been better if they kept Lorna in the show. Shelly seems like a one trick pony the same with Sam B as in the both can belt out big songs and I don't think she is versatile enough like Lorna is. Plus Shelly is very cabaret and can be irritating at times. Also it seems that Lorna would have more of a career than Shelly would.

Bye bye Lorna, now I can stay in for all the songs next week.
That screechy voice gets to my ears.

Seems as though One Night Only is a better song to sing in the Week 1 sing-off than There You'll Be judging by the last 2 years...

It's like there's a shortlist of songs they all have to choose from for sing offs year after year! I'm expecting Jessie J next week.

It's so boring hearing the same things, if I was on there (and was good enough to get to live shows ) I'd sing either This Is Not The End or You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me.

I was actually really surprised that Lorna went. Out of the 2 I would have thought that Shelley would have gone, but I'm surprised Lorna was up in the first place.
Miss Dynamix aren't gelled as a group imo, there's something about their harmonies that just doesn't sound right. And I don't get the love and admiration for Rough Copy - I just don't think they have likeability factor at all.
Abi is different, yes, but I personally think she murdered Living on a Prayer and she didn't get all the notes on key.
Hannah and Nicholas are clear winners for me, with Kingsland Road getting the vote just because everybody loves a boy band.
