The draw takes place on Sunday morning, with this being the first tournament to feature 24 teams.
There are 9 groups, with the top 2 in each group plus the best 3rd place team qualifying and the other 3rd placed teams going into the playoffs. Hosts France will be placed into the 5-team group and will play 10 friendlies against that group's teams over the course of qualifying.
The match days will follow a new "week of football" format with six consecutive match days from Thursday to Tuesday and fixtures will be decided by computer, rather than through agreements by the national FAs.
In a move reminiscent of UEFA's smoke and mirrors tricks that it pulls with Champions League draws, Spain, Germany, England, Italy and Holland will avoid being in the 5-team group "for TV reasons".
Teams that will be kept apart: Armenia and Azerbaijan Spain and Gibraltar
Russia and Georgia have been kept apart in recent draws but have indicated they will play each other if they are drawn together this time.
Seedings:
POT 1: Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, England, Portugal, Greece, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina
POT 2: Ukraine, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland
POT 3: Serbia, Turkey, Slovenia, Israel, Norway, Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Poland
POT 4: Montenegro, Armenia, Scotland, Finland, Latvia, Wales, Bulgaria, Estonia, Belarus
POT 5: Iceland, Northern Ireland, Albania, Lithuania, Moldova, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cyprus
POT 6: Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands, Malta, Andorra, San Marino, Gibraltar

Was looking really good for Wales until Belgium arrived. I fancy them to make the playoffs though. I fancy Scotland to finish ahead of Ireland and maybe even Poland.
About as good a draw as Northern Ireland could've got but will that be enough for them to make the playoffs?
Great draw for England.

A brand new opponent for England in the form of Lithuania. We've never played Slovenia in qualifying but did meet them at the last World Cup. We played Switzerland in qualifying for Euro 2012 and Estonia for Euro 2008 and we're drawn against San Marino for the second tournament in a row.

Almost inevitably, Gibraltar were drawn to play Spain and had to be moved and the same happened for Armenia-Azerbaijan...

Switzerland whilst no world beaters are certainly good enough to give us a game on their day. Apart from belgium that was the one team I was hoping to avoid

Switzerland whilst no world beaters are certainly good enough to give us a game on their day. Apart from belgium that was the one team I was hoping to avoid Yes, they're a tough pot 2 team but their world ranking flatters them. But with the new format, we could afford to lose twice against Switzerland and still qualify reasonably comfortably.

My wife wants to go to Lithuania and Estonia at some point, so if the fixture dates are kind to us, we might arrange a short holiday... Reasonable draw for Poland too, looks like it could be quite an open battle for 2nd - 4th. Group I looks toughest.

See how they do against france in the world cup, should give us a good idea where they rank. Rest of the group as always is pretty easy. However england rarely do easy very well. I wouldnt rule out a 0-0 draw against san marino after rooney headbutts the ref and gets banned for 6 month

Albania the lowest-ranked team at 55 (30 in Europe). That's higher than Ireland, who were in pot 2.

Armenia are a very good team aswel. Glad we avoided them, maybe should be in pot 3 looking at their results over the last few year against some decent opponents
