one thing that surprised me was the low-key guests compared to previous years, come on Ed is fine, Ella is ok-ish but come on... Labrinth?? is the budget gone? cannot they afford Rihanna or Beyonce anymore? I've noticed that too, they used to have some real big names on the show...legends like Duran Duran, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Tony Bennett, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart and more i can't recall along with more current chart acts. Now it's just current chart acts. I think Strictly is not only getting the ratings but the guests too! Mind you ratings are down and there is a lot more disinterest in the show. Last night's show was the lowest for a final ever. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-30470600

Fleur was robbed! It was her win but the idiots voted for Ben! She sang the winners song best. Nevermind she'll have the career and Ben will be forgotten in a year's time.

Ben can kiss goodbye to his career now he's won. Fleur will be just fine with a strong single

Gutted for Fleur, but coming second is not too bad, OneD and Olly have done well out of the X Factor, her time will come, let's hope we don't have to wait a long time for Fleur to release her material, maybe a dance collaboration with Calvin Harris to launch her career.

So Fleur never stood a chance despite all the ways the show was pushed towards her winning?
Interesting.

It has been on "The Collection" since last week. I don't seen any reason they would change the rules of eligibility now

My chance to watch Saturday night's show and judge the three finalists for myself.
Sunday's show will be screened here tomorrow night.
Trying to avoid reading anything on FB.

From what I heard the winner's song did not suit Fleur at all, if they wanted her to win, surely a more uptempo song would have suited her and not Ben? Maybe they knew they had no chance so chose a song for Ben to get #1, and then disappear as they push Fleur. Poor Ben, someone ask him about Matt Cardle and James Arthur

Matt Cardle v. 2.0 well, the winner song could have been different for Fleur, Andrea had a different one

Apparently Fleur's track was meant to be a cover version of Janet Jackson's All For Me, but they couldn't get permission to use it, so they had to give her Something I Need, talk about a missed opportunity.

I wasn't surprised Ben won but he will have one album and that will be it, Fleur will have the career after this, what can you do with Ben really

You don't "do anything" with Ben, other than coach him to do it himself, ideally writing music with his brother like he used to, and possibly releasing some of his back catalogue if any of it is any good.
The problem with the X-Factor is that it rarely exposes the good songwriters.
Matt Cardle's music had no real substance. If it had, he'd have been a success. Same with James Arthur.
