I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a bunny with a pancake on its head.

The only hope for the game is a European superleague, cut off from the peasants in England, so the global gloryhunters can watch wherever. Every game being a Game 39. I agree with you that the problem started when TV money and large amounts of prize money started being pumped into the Premier League, and became particularly apparent when Champions League money skyrocketed - before that, we had the case of Arsenal finishing 12th in 1995 and winning the double three seasons later (although we were historically successful and had won a bunch of trophies in the preceding decade). Hard to see Swansea winning the double in 2017. One of the problems with the 'European Super League' idea is, the TV money that's being pumped into the Premier League would vanish, and there are a lot of clubs that depend on that money to keep them afloat. It'd be some kind of nuclear option - a large amount of damage immediately, followed by a slow recovery, and eventually, a completely new landscape would eventually emerge. I've probably mixed a few metaphors there, but hopefully you get what I mean. It's sad that the only way for a team from outside the big 4/6/7 to become successful is to get taken over by some oligarch who pumps a billion pounds into the game, ironically cheapening the achievements of that team. But the game's ruled by money now, and has been for at least 20 years, with no chance of a return to how it was in the 70s.

There is another solution but it's one the clubs would never agree to due to greed. A global salary cap.
