Was Riddler a baddie in it then? yep he was last seen in Batman & Robin the third movie with Val Kilmer playing Batman in the title role, Jim Carrey played the Riddler. The villain was never used in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy. Frank Gorshin was the Riddler in the Batman TV series. Did you know 5 actors have played Batman, the original was Adam West, in the first 4 movies, the dud ones Michael Keaton (Batman 1 & 2), Val Kilmer (Batman 3), George Clooney (Batman 4), and Christian Bale in the Jonathan Nolan Batman trilogy. Ben Afleck will be the 6th Batman alongside Wonder Woman in the proposed 2nd Superman movie due out Summer 2016 oops I'm such a Batman geek, I just grab my anorak.

Nygma , that was it , for the life of me , I couldnt remember his name. Was Riddler a baddie in it then? I really need to read up on this...lol In Batman in general, The Riddler's a bad guy but in Gotham, he's just a regular guy.

For now but something will change this possibly a psychotic break or being wronged by the police force

Yes, this series has great production values, a really absorbing script, and enough action/slapstick/pathos to suck me in.
Will be interesting to see how some of the more 2-dimensional characters develop (e.g. Gordon's girlfriend, the two cops who appear to be clean). Note that I'm one or two episodes behind, so this may sound like a dumb comment.

The lady cop of Major Crimes was involved romantically with Gordon's girlfriend, so there's that. I wish that some of their villains-of-the-week would come back like the Doll Maker.

That guy who plays the penguin is a really good actor, he just seems nuts I think that's why they give him a lot of close-ups of his face because his face can really convey .

Yes agree, the Penguin guy is really good. The way he works his face, no words are needed.

I was a bit bored on the last episode with this copycat killer, I'm more interested in the Penguin, wish they would do more with Batman but I know he's young.

I don't think Bruce Wayne's alter ego will appear in this somehow, Bruce Wayne is still a 13 year old boy, unless they flash forward the series a few years at some point
This series is fast becoming my favourite series of the new shows, followed by Flash.

I just hope they show how Bruce starts getting in his head that vigilantism is the avenue for him. Maybe it would be cool to see his first outing as Batman.

I hope they do that too, might happen at the end of the season as it feels like I'm watching a completely different programme.
