surprised to see no threads for the xf live shows!!!
so does it mean... that everybody gave up and no one is watching anymore???
was looking forward to people´s comments, even from the ones who keep saying it´s a fix but keep on watching and even scoring the contestants etc etc

I watched it and was unimpressed for the most part.
Lauren Platt was easily the best with her reworking of Happy, but the list of acts I don't like this year would be very long...

That was the Foxes version she sang in the live lounge on Radio 1, nothing special in my opinion. I think the best performance was Fleur East, I know I hate that track to bits, but she put a different spin on it, had a ragga feel to it.

I watched it and i agree plenty of bad acts this year, those 2 boy bands were AWFUL!!
I liked Lauren and Fleur's performances the best, and that act that did that Rock N Roll medley were alright. The rest were rubbish!

X Factor reworkings are always Live Lounge performances or YouTube covers beforehand, it's nothing new. Fleur wasn't bad but it didn't stray enough from the original and the backing singers drowned her out for half of it. Still, she was in the good half of the performances. I'm hoping Stevi and Overload go tomorrow (since I know that awful Andrea won't, more's the pity) since they were both utterly terrible.

There comes a time when a show starts losing interest.
I really think Simon Cowell should pull the plug on this now and find a new show for next year. It used to at least be entertaining TV but now it isn't even that.

Why can't they do something different one year by making it about not only singers but songwriters also, with the emphasis on acts that can write original material & can perform as well.

Yes they were and boy bands don't sound like that anymore, they tend to be more creative now, like 5 Seconds Of Summer, Rixton, Loveable Rogues, even Fall Four and Janoskians who have done well in my chart.

My fav version like night was the guy that covered Rihanna´s Only Girl, thought that was good... not crazy about the Italian guy but I think he´s gonna win

I been slagging this show off for years and what do I do this year, I've got right into it and got a bit fanatical and downloaded the free app where I can vote for free, I'm probably only doing that because I know that Simon Cowell said he wanted to find a way to free voting because he didn't like who keeps winning, ie: no little boys, except they will this year because all the little girlies got the app and gonna keep alll the boys in who can't sing but look cute.

^cos it was on bbc, who are clueless about this kinda program (i.e. The Voice) so it seems, there is still a lot of interest in XF and most people are still watching

The girls are really going to struggle this year with the free voting. Chloe Jasmin would ordinarily have made it to at least the quarter-finals but I reckon she'll be out in the first 2 or 3 weeks

Not watched it so far (as it's not shown here), but was unsurprised that James Graham has coasted through seeing he has been under various music management for good few years.
