CONCACAF 2nd round, 2nd leg: Just one surprise as CONCACAF's 2nd round concludes as Nicaragua beat the higher-ranked Suriname away from home to progress, though Grenada needed an 81st-minute goal to see off Puerto Rico and overturn a first leg deficit. Round 3 is another knockout with the 10 Round 2 winners joining Haiti and Jamaica.

The latest FIFA rankings were published today and that means we now know the seedings for Europe for this month's World Cup qualifying draw. The seedings make interesting reading, especially given the long tournament absences of some of the top seeds, while regular qualifiers who've performed poorly at tournaments are punished, whilst France are effectively relegated a pot due to them hosting Euro 2016. Wales are almost certainly the first team to go from Pot 6 to Pot 1 four years later. (+ or - indicates how many pots higher or lower the team is compared to four years ago) POT 1: Germany Belgium (+2) Netherlands Portugal Romania (+3) England Wales (+5) Spain Croatia POT 2: Slovakia Austria (+2) Italy (-1) Switzerland (+1) Czech Republic (+1) France Iceland (+4) Denmark Bosnia-Herzegovina (+1) POT 3: Ukraine Scotland (+1) Poland (+1) Hungary Sweden (-1) Albania (+1) Northern Ireland (+1) Serbia (-1) Greece (-2) POT 4: Turkey (-2) Slovenia (-2) Israel (-1) Ireland (-1) Norway (-3) Bulgaria Faroe Islands (+1) Montenegro (-2) Estonia (+1) POT 5: Cyprus Latvia Armenia Finland Belarus (-2) Macedonia Azerbaijan Lithuania (-1) Moldova POT 6: Kazakhstan Luxembourg Liechtenstein Georgia (-2) Malta San Marino Andorra

Do you still do rankings MisterH? How do yours compare? No, had to stop a few years ago as I didn't have time anymore due to work. I do often wonder how they'd look now compared to FIFA's. Wales certainly wouldn't be in the top 10.

Great group for Wales. Decent group for England, though Slovakia are going very well at the moment.
Nightmare for Holland-France, Spain-Italy. There'll be some good teams in (or missing?) the playoffs.

Oceania 1st round: The Cook Islands' win was their first in the World Cup against another FIFA nation. Their only other World Cup win was eight years ago against Tuvalu. The winners of this four-team tournament in Tonga will progress to Round 2 and join a group with Tahiti, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea.
