He does my head in moaning after every game as well, howay spending 35m on a big lummox like Benteke after practically giving away another big lummox he never knew how to manage was never the brightest thing to do, Liverpool are average, Coutinho flatters to deceive, never known a player do so little yet smashes in a goal from 30 yards after braying the ball out of play a dozen times and everyone tosses off over him, Giving away Agger and signing Lovren was a joke, there whole defence and keeper are sub standard, Henderson is there best cm, they are in huge trouble considering the money they spent, they should be top 4, hence why he has been sacked

Quite the weekend.
Stunning 20 minutes for Aguerro and Arsenal.
Advocaat retains his career résumé tag of never taking a team down a division.
The commentary team on NBC here said Rogers had saved his job with the draw against Everton!!!!! Oops.
I'm disappointed I never saw Jose M in a post match interview.

The commentary team on NBC here said Rogers had saved his job with the draw against Everton!!!!! Oops. The media here suggested yesterday before the game that he would be sacked if Liverpool lost so it came as a surprise to discover he'd gone even though they avoided defeat. MOTD2 suggested that he was actually sacked before the game but he only found after he got home. Going by his reaction at the final reaction and his post-match interview it looked like he maybe saw it coming though. My immediate reaction therefore given that it wasn't dependent on the result and he'd obviously been under pressure for a while was that they've got someone lined up, especially as they won't be appointing a caretaker. My guess is that Klopp or Ancelotti will be appointed at some point in the next 10 days or so.
It will be interesting to see where Rodgers goes from here. Not sure how he did at Watford but his other clubs suggest that he's good at taking a club on who have a solid base (Swansea already had a long-term philosophy of passing football and were a club progressing nicely, Liverpool obviously had Suarez, Gerrard, Carragher when he first arrived), but when a club is in decline or is having to replace key players he struggles.

I'm not sure we'll see him move to a 'big' club.

Indeed. That mid-80s Everton team was great to watch. One of the last really strong teams to be assembled via good scouting and youth development, rather than throwing cash at the best players available. RIP Howard

Swindon have sacked Mark Cooper, making him the 5th League One manager to be fired so far this season. Interestingly, none of the five were managing clubs in the relegation zone at the point they were dismissed. It seems that being in the bottom 4 is OK, but hovering just above is not.

Interestingly, none of the five were managing clubs in the relegation zone at the point they were dismissed. It seems that being in the bottom 4 is OK, but hovering just above is not. That means that only half of the 92 league clubs have a manager who has been in his post for at least a year.

Mansfield 4th just 1 point off the Top 3! yeah, I'm amazed, and even more amazed after we lost this weekend, that we are still 4th! Two big sending offs though and two possible injuries could really disrupt our momentum, we need points at Yeovil tomorrow as it's Portsmouth away after that. I'll feel happy when we have 50 points on the board anything after that is a bonus for me! These are the average league 2 crowds this season. Shame to see the Stags so low, but that's the way it is at the moment, people cant afford it, and we cant make it cheaper and attract the best players and wages Position Teams Average Attendance Total attendance 1 Portsmouth 16349 98093 2 Luton 8499 50993 3 Plymouth 8163 57144 4 Bristol Rovers 7553 37763 5 Oxford United 6468 38808 6 Cambridge United 5606 39248 7 Leyton Orient 5531 38720 8 Notts County 5349 37441 9 Carlisle United 4975 34825 10 Northampton 4538 27226 11 Hartlepool 4049 24292 12 AFC Wimbledon 3994 27956 13 Yeovil 3786 22718 14 Exeter City 3742 22455 15 Wycombe 3683 22101 16 York City 3404 20424 17 Mansfield Town 3355 23483 18 Stevenage 3139 21970 19 Crawley 2734 19138 20 Newport County 2590 18132 21 Barnet 2284 15990 22 Dagenham & Redbridge 1844 12905 23 Morecambe 1626 9759 24 Accrington 1346 9425 Also Leeds have sacked Rosler and this tweet was my favourite. Scientists have predicted that by 2017, you will never be more than 6 feet away from a former Leeds Utd manager

Scientists have predicted that by 2017, you will never be more than 6 feet away from a former Leeds Utd manager I'm not sure how surprised I was that Rosler was sacked. The stat that was read out on Football League Tonight that they had gone 11 games without a home win, a new club record, was pretty damning. The shock for me was that they've replaced him already and it's Steve Evans, a guy who has slated the club in the past! Cellino banned again, it's been suggested that the timing of all this with the ban in mind wasn't a coincidence. Gonna be interesting to see what happens this season, wasn't sure one way or the other about Rosler's appointment, but i'm not convinced by Evans!
Like that tweet as well!

An interesting stat is that 18 out of the top 20 longest serving managers are English.
The exceptions are Arsene Wenger (actually in first place and is French) and Mick McCarthy (who is Irish)

And Mick may not last this season if things continue as they are. It's sad that Mick has only been in for 2 seasons and is in the top 20 longest serving managers at their current club. In no other profession is the turnaround quite so fast!

At the time Chris Powell was sacked he was the longest serving manager in the Championship.

As per normal we lose to a goal scored by an ex Ipswich player. This time Liam Trotter on his debut for Forest having been at Millwall for several seasons.
